Well im not saying this is the solution to the situation. But it would def be a start. For one if more western politicians would be more like that irish politician. If the us would cut off aid to israel. And just in general if more people would start calling out Israel.. at least start demanding they be the bigger guy here instead of beating up the smaller guy. Specifics..shrugs..but def think israel knowing they have certain support no matter what is a huge issue.
Rather than death, the Palistinians would prefer to get their homes back which were stolen from them. But I don't see a scenario where that happens.
Many of their original homes and businesses are still standing in what is now Israel. Other people use them now. Many Palistinians still have deeds to land and buildings and in some cases can prove that the land has been in their family for 200-300 years or more. While I see no scenario where they get that property back.....I see no fair situation where they should not get their rightful property back. I'm not even talking about the big picture...renaming territory, etc. I'm talking about individual cases of property much like the one I am typing this post from. This is my home. I own it. I have the keys for it. I've lived here for years and raised a family here.....but someone can drive me away at gun point, refuse to allow me back and then claim my home as their own? And then have the audacity to blame me for being angry? If you look back at the real history.....you will find that this is exactly what happened and exactly what was planned to happen. None of this is an accident.
The peoples of Gaza and the West Bank deserve better leaders than Hamas. They need peace, not the conflicts that Hamas triggers. Hamas has converted Gaza into a forward base for attacking Israel, and its the citizens of Gaza who pay a steep price. Imagine if the resources committed by Hamas to build tunnels & stockpile rockets had instead been used for public infrastructure? we are witnessing a blood feud, not an ordinary war. Twas only about ten years ago that Gaza was under Israili military occupation; then the army withdrew, I was hopeful that the peoples there would be better under their own government. That the limited infrastructure that Jews had left in Gaza could be a foundation for a better Arab state.
To the contrary, all this news coverage about little children dying from Israel's defencive strikes, does seem to be like anti Israeli propaganda. It is like those neo Nazi historians, like David Irving, saying the Allied forces are the real war criminals of ww2, because of the killing of civilians in Dresden. Even though Irwing is not wrong that civilians were unfairly targeted, you can see, he is only bringing that up because he is pro Nazi Germany, just like the media are clearly anti Israeli.
No. I do not live in the United States.Plus not all Jews or Israelis are Zionists. In fact Israel's willingness to keep pretending they are not at war is probably out of fear that rich Jews, from other countries, might spend and make money outside Israel, out fear of war.
well under 2000 people died from this so called war. thats no war. hell over 10,000 people a year are murdered by guns alone in the states. i dont hear anyone call that a war. it is a conflict until one of the sides decides to take real action.
That is probably because the 10, 000 people who died in the US are not all killed by the same group of people.
Considering the bigger picture, the Israelis are outnumbered by their enemies by more than 100 to 1. It would probably be more correct to say that Isreal attacks its' enemy at whatever location they are being attacked from, which may be a school if the Palestinians allow them to be put to military use. Maybe some family counciling is what's really needed?
Saw that Hamas executed 18 Palestinians on the street for collaboration with Israel. The relative value of human life is an understudied issue.
