my neighbor sprayed some of my weeds yesterday. i like the neighbors, i do not want to start a fight, but i need to know what he poisoned my pesticide/herbicide free yard with. ultimately a tree will go therre, should be able to tough it out, but if i catch him doing it again i will plant mint there, and he will never get rid of that.
but how, oh how to approach the issue tactfully?
btw- they think its puncturevine- its not. it is storkbill filaree, and its one of the only things that comes up early in the yard. if it were puncturevine i would be setting it on fire, but it is not.

 

i knew someone would come and ruin it.

tell him your kid has a horrible allergy to several pesticides so unfortunately you have to rely on hands and knees and garden gloves....bring him some cookies when you tell him.....

don't pesticide the cookies but you could infer stuff

The son was honored last night by being offered a spot to coach his current team with an "elite" softball association starting in the fall.

My daughter's world is caving in on her. It's stressing us all.

That's pretty much all I've got.

 

I remember hiding my eggs a little too good for little kids and was always being told "can you not make it a little easier?" By the old folks.

No! It has to be a hunt, not a give it all away.

 

My grandkids are the perfect age for this egg hunt business. One is 6 and 3 are 7. We might even challenge the 11 year old.

 

One of my fav tricks was to slowly hide eggs in their baskets already. Then they get so excited later on and 'I don't remember finding this much!!!'

 

My grands are so competitive. I think we will assign an egg color to each one this year and they can only pick up the color eggs that they were assigned.

went outside to check the birds just awhile ago....I lock them in every night but tonight my rooster wasn't there

poor rooster somehow got his leg and razor sharp talons snared and tangled in the chicken wire fence................

bloody mess........so vet rolling and son to the rescue...junior held him calm while dad removed the wires with some penny-cutters......

one was in there pretty good but I managed to remove it....

he was limping....i'll check him later on tonight
