Is tying down freeform dreads bad?

    Hello young padawan...lol

    I've got dreads that started out as comb coils. Recently, I decided to freeform, and I recommend this method over starting freeform from scratch. I've seen organic locs, allowed to mat on their own, and its... it scares me. Anyway, if you tie your hair ALL THE TIME, then it will cause them to look unattractively bendy. I would suggest getting them professionally done first, having the professional maintain them for a few months, then freeforming from there. ur hair will have a groundwork for excellence laid, and you'll get the individuality that all us freeformers have found vindication in. lol I'm talking like I know what I'm talking about, I've only been loc'd for about 5 months. Hmm, I did start with long hair tho. anyway, have fun with the process, whenever it starts
