In Utero is better. Nevermind is good, but there are so many better albums in the world.

no, it wasn't. just my opinion. lots better MUSIC around, though. i mean, if you want to listen to MUSIC, rather than listen to someone convey his own feelings of angst and grief. again, my 'opinion' (which is the title of a nirvana song, btw)...

I like "Hot Child In The City" by Nick Gilder too:D. That's the bomb:D:D.

  7. Personally, I am fascinated by personalities. Which is one of the reasons I like Nirvana. I don't think you can really argue that they weren't music...by definition, they were pretty much music, right? I can't stand all this indie schlop of today...a bunch of boring kids who went to college to learn how to become musicians. Great, they're technically music. No one can argue that they are musical. Nice and safe.

Personalities is what pop is all about -- I don't think the whole thing is just a throwaway. Imagine the Beatles without John...yeah, you can't.

Anyway...I love the way Nevermind is produced. It's very clean, but it still doesn't fit. I saw a really cool Making of the Album in which they talked about how they were basically just trying to make really simple, almost children's singalong songs. It's FUN!!!

yea...music is judged by the character of the musicians rather than the quality of music. i wouldn't listen to nirvana even if kurt cobain had wandered the desert without shoes and healed the sick

  10. But Nirvana's music is awesome!!

In Utero is great...perhaps the best opening ever...that or Metal Guru.

  18. I just bought Nevermind again. Kurt Cobain was a songwriting genius. Not just anybody can write music like that.
