I think nothing is a non existent concept. When I'm thinking of "nothing" I take that as peace (as itsallgood said...sort of), and peace is something, albeit hard to find. When you say the universe is expanding into nothingness...well I simply don't believe that's what's really happening. Does a cell grow into nothing? Is it aware of what its surroundings are made of? Simply not understanding what occupies a space perceived as a void does not mean it's truly empty.
Its not really nothing, it is just completely formless, like clear energy, its not a material something, it is empty of space, time, and form, but its defiantly not empty of love and bliss.
Doesnt love need at least one subject? Love is a relational concept. Something loves something. Thats like saying that there is lots of "heavy" in the void. Well its just a metaphysical absurdity, something you can do with language that doesnt correspond to anything outside of language.
I don't think that love is necessarily only relational; I view love to be synonymous with God, the ONE, energy, etc. It has both form and is formless, it is the glue to relationships, not the relationships themselves. Or maybe it is the glue AND the relationships themselves. Everything is love, and everything that is not love, is love. Love love love love love. Love.
Well thats true but love and bliss are about the closest thing to it. That concept of love is misleading, you can just be love, you don't have to love anything, your love already, the very nature of things is love. Edit: ^Yes to what Lavoe said.
I don't know if I totally agree. The one time I fell into eternity it did not contain emotions such as love, bliss, fear, or hate. lol Well I suppose in a way it would have to...ahh the things I fail to communicate .
The way I describe it is "pefect bliss" completely no psychoactivity just that state of bliss, there was no one even there, no thought, No I, the I and the blissed merged, it was being with no ideas about the state of being. It was zen, it was perfect balance of everything, a state of pure synergy. It was everything together, which just looks like nothing, and it was nowhere, not relative to any location, but everywhere, it took up everything. aaaaaah.
You have a very fluid way of speaking and I agree especially with the "no ideas about the state of being"...... simply raw unfiltered ....experience........
Moving through our band width of perception, from the instinct of self preservation to a sense of gratitude, I come away with the thought, had I never known the body I would have missed nothing.
I find it really interesting that in the Religious Views thread you posted something in response to what I said and quoted biblical verses out of context then when I basically pointed that out and showed that your references were essentially wrong, you start posting this pseudo religious babble rather than responding in a normal dialog type fashion. Plus the fact that most of these little pearls do not possess any indications intrinsic in them to indicate that they are your ideas. So what book/books are you pulling these from? As I said in that thread, if intended to make you sound wise and insightful, it ain't working man. Your initial response to me in the other thread sounded genuine, the rest are someone else's words for sure. Can't you speak for yourself?
He means why don't you try to have an original fucking thought. Even if you share the ideas pulling quotes is pulling quotes, and it happens far too often around here...
