how is this different from the looting of the museum of iraq that american troops ALLOWED to happen, even stood by and watched? quite honestly i think that point is moot because i fail to see why any woman of any religion would want to have anything to do with, let alone marry, an ignorant, hating bigot like yourself.
I agree with you, kitty, that the Christians are hardly a shining example of acceptance of other faiths. And in my own life, I have countless examples of Christians discouraging my interracial relationships, and giving bible quotes to support their bigotry.
'InterRacial' LOL! DarkGuard.. you are the biggest racist going. Well at least the 'other race of human' (your words) got wise and dumped you Seriously though.. Christianity must be abused and misused in order to persecute and oppose the rights of Muslims. ISlam on the other hand must me moderated and used with high doses of liberalism in order to NOT PERSECUTE Christians (and Jews and Pagans etc) Thats a remarkable difference. [Johnny2mad might have more to say on that? ... I can speak mainly from the Christian perspective]
I happen to be good friends with one of the finest Christians I have ever met. He can quote biblical verses like nobodys business. I read the bible cover to cover, three versions. and he knows it infinitely better than I do.
Those are excellent points, and you know, he is quite racist. I tend to call most of Christiandom paulianity since it really is a better name for it. Good christians are all around, I know that. As are good atheists, and all faiths.
PS. He is a handy guy to have around though.....when I want to know whether the bible says something, like, are there ghosts, for example. He read me where a medium conjured up Samuel.
Have you never met a peace loving, ethical Muslim, Karl? I have. I swear wwIII is well on its way to being a reality.
oh wait.........you didn't say simon says........... Simon says, "Accept all people, and love them regardless of their faith, nationality, ethnicity, and lifestyle, including the haters, cuz they can only be reached with love, and cuz we can all be right even if we disagree, and everyone remember your first lessons as a toddler, good is good, and bad is bad, so don't kill each other cuz that would be bad."
The above is my point. It is nonsensical and totally useless as an idea. First of all, what if some peaceful folk stayed behind? And do you think the fricken jihadists would? They are the ones with the vehicles, they'd be the first out of town. It is not loving. It is dangerous rhetoric.
I hope this eastern parable sums up my perspective since it is my view of courage. Okay, one more, and then i really am going to bed. I heard this Eastern parable, and forgive me if it is a bit jumbled, as I am writing from memory: There was a fierce warlord who ruled the countryside with ruthless violence, killing all who opposed him, and taking whatever he pleased wherever he went. One of the villages heard he and his followers were ravaging the areas nearby and was headed for their village. The whole village grabbed what they could carry, and headed for the hills, fearing for their lives. One monk, the most wise and elderly one, said he would stay behind in the temple. Everyone thought him crazy and that he would be killed for sure. The warlord entered the village and soon found the sole remaining inhabitant, and was affronted by his audacity to have not fled. He said to the monk, " Don't you know who I am. I am the man that could run you through with this sword without blinking an eye!" The monk was not at all affected by this, and replied to him, " Don't you know who I am? I am the man that you could run through with your sword, and I would not blink an eye." The warlord was so awed by this monk's response that he gave up his old ways and stayed as a student of the monk from then on. I hope that is at least close to the real one. To me, it is the best description of character and courage I have read.
