I don't think bad about Ireland at all! But I do think they put their old folks in retirement homes as well.

my mother grew up in bantry (her mother was a relative of michael collins) & now my brother is back living there.. when we have our 'rock n roll' commune (as my sister calls it) up & running we'll throw out the invitations to come & visit.. we're very freespirited people, who want to do what we like til we fall off the perch.. the most distressing thing about old folks homes is being told 'tea time' 'now go to bed'.. even the best run ones are full of rules n regulations.. (hasn't this thread become warm n cosy?)

Not really, because its dissolving under the almost constant rain. The landscape is 93% Midge infested Peat bog masked most of the time by thick Fog.
Craggy Island, featured on 'Father Ted' is one of the more attractive spots. Of course the people of Ireland arnt like those featured on 'Father Ted', well not ALL of them !

We do dislike the Scottish but the Welsh are hated by most civilised European cultures
