You can't go around locking up pedophiles just because they are naturally attracted to kids. But, you can lock anyone up for molesting one.

To expand on my comment I'll say this...

If a pedo is released back to society then the government is exposing young children to predation. They wait for the offender to strike before throwning the book at them. In the meantime innocent children are violated and left permanently scared. That can't be right?

i have wanted to lie, cheat and steal and even kill before. at least one and up to three of those things i would never do. i would hate to be locked up for my thoughts.

 

First of all, believe me (or not, i dont give a fuck, but its the truth)- i hate rapists, bullies in any way, sexual predators.... all that.. Id kick them in the balls and most likely would get myself killed if someone raped me, molested my child (which i dont even have yet, but theoretically)- HOWEVER....

I also believe in reform (some people can be reformed, some cant)- I dont know if I could forgive a pedofile that violated someone i knew like a family member but... would I want someone that had a mental illness, got help for it, and spent years trying to change, .. you know therapy, them really wanting to change and finally learning right from wrong..... to just sit in jail forever or be killed?

THAT to me would seem cruel and unusual. I believe in second chances even for very sick people. (and maybe because they are very sick, that's what makes it possible to allow them non barbaric measures of getting back into society after they "did their time")

 

I'm not going to judge pedophiles... it is not something that they chose to do or control. Ofcourse a pedophile who acts on his intuitions should be locked up.

As to sex and kids... kids do not need their own porn, they already have all the porn in the world.

I myself am not be big on sex, but if two 15 year olds want to get it on, it's their thing.

Just imagine that 200 years ago 13 year olds were getting married to 50 year olds.

People who are aroused by children ought to be punished. The same goes for people who think about murdering other people; that doesn't give them more of an excuse, because wheather the intentions there or not, the thought is always there. As much as I could not stand a Nazi and could not agree with anything the Nazi says or thinks... it is still his right as a human to think and say those things. If a man does say "Hey, I'm gonna go kill me some people." then I'm going to call the cops, ya know... but if a man thinks about murder... shit... most of humanity thinks about murder.
