because politics is so much on the local level and that's what people don't seem to understand. look at what Ron Paul is doing. he's still working to be nominated by getting his supporters to become delegates for the convention. IF enough of his supporters go to the convention, he's on the ticket for sure. the local party meetings are scarcely attended and with enough people you can take over. that seems to me the big revolution, to get people involved at the local level again and it is going on.
I voted no and the reason is because out of the many hundreds of americans i've met, ive still yet to meet one who i truelly believe would give up anything for what they believe. Revolution doesnt mean 'i'll say to my friends how i dislike the president and dislike his ways' and then go off and buy expensive exploitation starbucks you know? I think revolution in babylon is a long way off but it needs to happen desperatly.
Well said man. Political parties are the bane of true unenterprized, unmonopolied, untainted freedom. Even George Washington dispized the idea of political parties. Check out this quote. It took me a while to find it but I finally did. IF we are to ever bring about a true, unfettered revolution in the U.S. we first must wrest away power from the politicians and give it back to the people. Corruption, a mans mind can easily be swayed from a good thing to a bad by peer pressure and money; two things that the government and its associates handle quite well in their myriad arsenal of political weapons. A revolution is needed but who is gonna start it? I can promise you one thing. It sure as hell ain't gonna be the beaurocrats. They'd rather sit on their fat asses and stroke the wads of cash they get from our Big Brother. So I'll ask again, who is gonna start it? Me and you? Maybe its time the people actually found their voice again. Time for us to reclaim society from our unseen oppressors. Time for us to quit licking and instead bite the hand that feeds us the poison. Perhaps it is finally time....
