Irony and a Rant...

i don't understand why some of you attacked this poor sister. i thought this was a free speech site, dedicated to the old ideals of peace, love, harmony, and whatnot, but everyday i see more and more ugliness and conflict and people trying to "one up" each other. i've argued on political issues before, but there's a difference between an argument or debate or discussion or self expression and just attacking someone. the world is full of this ugliness. why have it on this site, which is meant to be an oasis?
