No, by your own admission, you have never stated your case.

You lack the spine, it seems. You hint at it, you imply things, but you can't quite make yourself come out and SAY it.

    No, nobody is arguing that.

Now, find some balls, and state your conclusion.

Actually it was canceled, not postponed.
But, the meeting will go on, Iran just wont be there.

Seriously, why do this if he's completely innocent?

Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse generators, vacuum arc furnaces, hot isostatic presses, maraging steel, tritium targets, and large quantities of Behlke switches are just a few of the things that Iran has been caught illegally purchasing or importing through foreign front companies.

Tektronix, Sket Magdeburg, Minatom, Thyssen, Leybold, Urenco, Darmstadt, Engineering Pressure Systems International, Treibacher, AGIE, GBC Scientific Equipment, EADS Sodern, Charmilles Technologies, and Kyung-Do Enterprises are a few of the companies that have been caught selling dual-use equipment to Iran on black and grey markets.

Sharif University and Amirkabir University are two Iranian universities being investigated for trying to covertly obtain sensitive nuclear technology and technical data.

Financial and logistical networks associated with the former A.Q. Khan network are still active and have been tied to Iranian front companies, UAE/Iranian trade networks, and Iranian Import/Export businesses operating out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

An intelligence report with a heading "Iran is currently the most active customer in the international nuclear black market".

Do these sound like the activites of a country that is building a legitimate nuclear power production program?

    1. From your link:

    2. Then it will be a fairly useless meeting, since UNSEC can't make sanctions stick worth a damn. Again, this is what happens when you blow all your political capital on something stupid like Iraq.

Completely innocent? That's a laugh. He's a monster, and he's been one since his early days of storming the US embassy in Tehran.

But the world is full of monsters, and we can't deal with the problems we already have.

Iran's official news agency, IRNA, reported Sunday that the talks between Aghazadeh and the U.N. nuclear watchdog were postponed. There was no immediate explanation for the discrepancy.

VIENNA, Austria (AP) — A top Iranian official on Sunday abruptly canceled a meeting with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, dealing a blow to the U.N. monitor's efforts to investigate allegations that Iran tried to make nuclear arms, an agency official said.

They postponed the meeting, they didn't postpone the meeting, they canceled the meeting.... Who cares! The reason why they are having the meeting is what is important here.

I am surprised that nobody seems concerned about the companies (US included) that are supplying Iran with blackmarket equipment. These blackmarket networks are a double edged sword. One edge allows the international intelligence agencies to conduct industrial sabotage operations to slow the Iranians development process, the other edge is allowing Iran to purchase needed equipment without international monitoring.

Yeah, I'd be interested in knowing exactly which companies are supplying these resources.

I have a problem with quoting infractions of UN sanctions as a cause to go to war when we still owe them money.

If their position in the world is so important why don't we pay them? If I did that to my plastic company they would cut me off and be calling me every half hour.

TEHRAN (AFP) — Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday vowed that Iran would press ahead with its controversial nuclear programme, two days after world powers said they had prepared a new package to end the crisis.

"Have you not tested the Iranian nation? We will continue on our path with power and will not allow the oppressors to deny this nation's right," Khamenei was quoted by the state radio as saying to world powers.

"Threats will not force the Iranian nation to back down," it quoted him as saying on a visit to the southern Fars province.

Here's an article on all this red line talk:

    http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/HC04Ak03.html

And here's another that outlines that all this crap may just be about energy politics once again.

    http://www.arabianbusiness.com/prop...ill-the-power-come-from?limit=20&limitstart=0

It appears the energy industry is looking to control any competition. This is less about a possible nuclear weapon, and more about Iran being able to do an end run around the organized price setters.

Looks like the EU has finally stepped up

Iran faces a new round of financial sanctions as the European Union has agreed to freeze the overseas assets of its largest bank.

Then again, it might be too late for Sanctions.

Israel's dry run 'attack on Iran' with 100 jet fighters

    excerpt,
Israel has mounted a major long-range military air exercise – involving more than 100 F15 and F16 fighters – as a rehearsal for a potential strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, American officials have indicated. The fighters, along with refuelling tankers and helicopters able to rescue downed pilots, were mobilised during the first week of June over the eastern Mediterranean and Greece in an exercise monitored by foreign intelligence agencies.
The tankers and helicopters flew 900 miles from their bases in Israel – roughly the same distance as that between Israel and Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, the US officials said.

The outlook is grim, i doubt i need to waste my or your time with G.W.'s and McCain's stance on Iran.

    So, whats Obama's stance,

Obama: Israel justified in providing for security

excerpt, not! you need to read this!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 20 (Reuters) - U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama said that Israel is justified in providing for its security amid the "extraordinary threat" posed to it by Iran.

He spoke after The New York Times quoted unnamed U.S. officials as saying that Israel had carried out a large military exercise this month that appeared to be a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Obama, a Democrat who is running against Republican John McCain in the November election, was asked at a news conference in Jacksonville, Florida whether Israel was right to carry out the exercise.

"Without access to the actual detailed intelligence, I want to be careful about characterizing what was done and whether it was appropriate or not," Obama, an Illinois senator, said.

But he added that the Jewish state was right to be concerned about the anti-Israel comments of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and about Tehran's support for Hezbollah and Hamas.

"And so there is no doubt that Iran poses an extraordinary threat to Israel and Israel is always justified in making decisions that will provide for its security," Obama said.

The Times said more than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighters took part in the maneuvers over the eastern Mediterranean and Greece in the first week of June.

It said the exercise appeared to be an effort to focus on long-range strikes and illustrates the seriousness with which Israel views Iran's nuclear program.

Israel's ambassador to the United States, Sallai Meridor, also talked of the threat posed by Iran in an interview with CBS News.

"We cannot take this threat lightly and as our prime minister recently said Israel will not tolerate a nuclear Iran," Meridor told the U.S. television network.

Asked how much time was left before the diplomatic window closes, Meridor replied, "Less today than we had yesterday, and it's, it's running out." (Reporting by Caren Bohan; Editing by Eric Walsh)

Friend; could you be suggesting that Iran wants to set lower prices? OR if they want higher prices how would this set them apart from the industry?

These folks are going full bore to develop nukes.

Should The International Left join in confronting Iran in the same manner which they have confronted China over Tibet then the internationalists will have the one chance to reign in Iran's nuclear program.

Instead, if The Left continues its delicious posture of using Iran as a political issue and denying any threat whatsoever then it will be left to cowboys to take action.

The diferent reactions of The Left to the China/Tibet issue and Iran's nuclear program are illustrative of The Left's emotive reaction to Western power. Tibet; isolated, landlocked, underpopulated without strategic value is seen as the proper venue for protest over human rights violatioins.

Iran with a similarly oppressive oligarchy and an un-hinged posture on Israel is seen by The Left as above criticism because it might blow some oxygen in Bush's direction. The Left adopts a credulous attitude toward Irans declarations of "peaceful use"

Let The Left join in the fight for a safer world. Take the blinders off.
