Hi, I'm Alex. I'm 15 and I live in a small suburb in New Jersey. I go to a local high school. I'm originally from NYC. I've played the violin for 9 years and I hope I'm okay at it. I also play the guitar and the harmonica. I sing, draw, and write. I like reading, and my favorite book of all time is definitely Catch 22.
I love arguing politics, and I definitely know where I'm coming from. I'm a well-informed Democrat, which means that I don't believe everything I hear. I actually do like Kerry, as opposed to just thinking that he's the "lesser of two evils."
I listen mainly to music popular during the 60's, and most of my favorite musical artists are dead. I love Hendrix, Floyd, Zeppelin, Clapton, Simon and Garfunkel, the Allmans, Dylan, the Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash, the Dead, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Joni Mitchell, Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground, Phish, Queen, the Doors, etc. I also love funk (Herbie Hancock, Medeski Martin and Wood) and reggae (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh). My heroine is Janis Joplin. I want to be just like her...except for the ODding on heroin part.
I'm adopted. I'm Unitarian. I'm not straight-edge, because I smoke pot and sometimes drink. I've never done anything sexually, though. I hate it when people tell me to wear shoes, and I love the rain. Incense is beautiful.

I come from lorain ohio, kinda near cleveland. it's a place where the clouds are thick, dark, the streets smell like sulfur and you can hear the creation and formation of steel down the road. but you get used to it

as far as my hobbies, well, you could probably guess from the empty look on my face, and that's not even me high, that's normal me heheh

am I a hippie? maybe, I believe in life, peace, love and that sort of thing but I'm not because I haven't really felt any of it.

My name is Kaja, i'm from Ljubljana, Slovenia and i love life. sometimes it really bugs me but then i play myself some Pink Floyd and it gets better. yea, Pink Floyd are my favorite band ever.
i also like art tho i don't paint or something. i only like to watch it/adore it and talk about it, but I DO WRITE POETRY. my goal in life is to publish my poems in a book and become famous. okay i'm joking a bit about the last part but then i would be accepted i suppose.

Many things have changed lately.

My passion for English lang. has changed...i like the language just like any other...perhaps I'd like to study Slovene language one day, I don't really know.

My music tastes have changed quite a bit...
I like some ex-yugoslavian music (like Parni Valjak, Bijelo Dugme, etc), some punk (Niet! I bet Katja knows 'em), some indie, some evergreens,...
Wide genre of music really, from RATM to some acoustic things.

My passion for scouts has grown lots lately, too! (taborniki smo zakon )
So, you can meet me on many scouts meetings and such.

I don't write poetry as much as I used to anymore..

My love life...blah, it's quite an empty book right now, but 'tis allright.

I'm absolutelly not a hippie.
I'm me - been called a punk, a satanist (don't know where they got that from), a hippie, whatever else already, but it doesn't work for me.
I like to joke out of some of the silly hippies, too.

I'm not much on these forums lately, but seeing as some of great friends I've met online are here, I still visit the forums every now and then.

Hippieness - i guess it's coz of hair and some clothes
punkness - i guess they got that from my words against politics (mainly against right-wing ones)...
satanist - got called that coz of talking against Church

ah, I don't think i really am any of these...i never want to be called anything, but if you like it, it's pleasure to hear new things.

 

I guess it's all tied in... you're just a rebelling teen I suppose with that(no offense, though) I really don't try to follow anything... I just am.
