I think I accidentally introduced myself in the other sticky... sorry everyone. I'm Mike and I'm from Cleveland Ohio. I'm an art major and I play guitar. I hope to live on a commune some day, or something like that. If anyone is ever in the cleveland area, leave me a message and we can, I dunno... explore some psychadelics or something.

Hi everyone! I too am from Cleveland. I already introduced myself in the big "Introduce Yourself" section of the forum, but I'm doing it here too because I am, indeed, a young hippy.

All I can really say about myself is I love music and turtles. Who doesn't love turtles? Oh, and I've only been here two days but I adore this site!

Alright. My rundown.

I'm Lauren. I'm 17, and I have one semester of highschool left. I'm ready to start life. Highschool is so highly unnecessary. My friends are my life. There's nothing I love more then just hanging out, smoking dope with my friends with nothing to do. I'm a good person, but I just smoke alot of dope. But it's who I am. I don't really have beef with alot of people, I just keep the peace. I like getting shit-fucked, all the time. I'm down for pretty much anything.

I don't give a fuck, lifes too short to worry about every single thing. Mary showed me this when she passed on march break. I give a fuck about my friends and family. Other than that, it's just life. I'll sit outside in my backyard and do bong hits with my friends with neighbours walking up and down the streets. It ain't no thang.

I just want to see everything with my friends. Mary brought us together, and we have the most amazing bond. I am not the type to be tied down to one job for the rest of my life. That's just not me. My parents have issues with this, but I have to live life for me, not them. It's hard though. But it's part of life. I'm going out west in June with my three best friends, it's gonna suck leaving everyone else behind. But they will always be there for me, wherever I am.

I'll listen to anything. I listen to alot of Classic Rock. The song "Brat Pack" by The Rocket Summer is absolutely amazing. I don't listen to rap. But the Kottonmouth Kings are amazing. They rap about things that relate to my life. Mostly about weed. The song "Peace Not Greed" is one of my all time favourite songs. "How would life be if the world smoked weed/Guarenteed there'd be peace not greed.."

Climbing trees is my biggest hobby. I love being in trees. They have seen so much. And I want to see everything. And it's fun of course.

I like reading. I like reading about other peoples lives, trying to imagine being them, taking myself out of my own life for just a little while. I'll watch movies. I don't have a favourite. I feel TV is a waste of time. When I'm home, I'll use the computer. But I'd rather be out in the world, seeing and experiencing new things with my friends. It's all I want.

The internet rules, becuase I can get to cool places like this and meet other people I have things in common with.

I live in South Carolina. It sucks. I used to live in Connecticut, which had an awesome music scene and no ignorant redneck douches. I've found my niche as one of the guys with black shirts and long hair that carries around a guitar, though.

I'm a Christian, even though I don't always act like one. I lead worship at my youth group and at prayer meeting my friend and I do at our school, as well as Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

I enjoy toolin around on the internet/myspace, playing guitar and drums, and hangin around with friends. I'm on the drumline at the high school. That's pretty fun stuff.

Musicly, I listen to alot of Progressive and Metal music. At the moment, my favorite two artists are Frank Zappa and Megadeth. I also dig some instrumental stuff. As long as it takes talent to play, I can get into it. I'm in a band right now called Parallax, we're this cool Progressive Metal Jamband. You can check out myspace at www.myspace.com/parallaxsc. Politically, I'm middle of the road. I can really see some things from both sides, but lately, I've been leaning towards more liberal stuff.

Well, my parents we're (and still are) hippies, and I was raised from the age 10 up, as a hippie. I'm a bit of a nutter (not in the 'mad gun weilding way', more in the 'eccentric demented way') and I have dreads witch I started in spring 06. Don't have many 'hippie' friends, just two that are actully hippies. The rest are surfers, emo's and computer geeks (I'm also a bit of a computer geek).

My name is Joe. Currently, I'm wading my way through my second year of college in Fargo, ND, studying Botany and Horticulture, with a minor in Spanish. Let me tell you, Botany courses are wicked hard, but they're fun as well. Every day we've had a Lab so far this year I've walked away with a plant of some sort from the Professor.

Anyways, when I'm not studying I'm playing either my bass or my acoustic guitar, and listening to music.

I used to hang out in the marijuana forum a lot, but I got sick of it, and kind jumped a lot, and I fell in love with this one... can I stay?

Hi my name is jenny...
I live on folly beach, which is right outside charleston, south carolina. I am what some would call an Army Brat. My father is from the States, but my mother is full-blooded, off the boat German. I was raised there for a while, and I cant wait to get back there!! I am schooling it right now....majoring in Art History at the College of Charleston.

As for hobbies, I surf (yes, South Carolina has surf!! but dont tell anybody), love to read (Hunter Thompson is my latest favorite author), and of course listen to music. I played cello for six years, but unfortunately haven't touched it in awhile....

My music choices are quite ecclectic....classical(I love the Baroque Era), jazz ( Coltraine, Miles, Thelonious, Ella),World music ( my latest obsession is Ethiopian Jazz....check out Mulatu Astatke, also Hugh Masekela, who's South African), and good old rock n roll. Everything out of the 50s, 60s, and some from the 70s. Hendrix, Elvis, Beatles, The Animals, the Who, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe, Floyd, etc...
And for a good mix, I LOVE some Pantera and Metallica, Alice in Chains, and all that good stuff.......

Well, politically I've been classified as a Socialist( so my government teacher pointed out to me 10 years ago) and the older I get, more true it becomes! Religiously, I was raised as a Christian, and still consider myself one. I believe that there is one truth, whichever path one takes to find is gotta be the right one, be it Buddhist, Wiccan, Zoroastrian, whatever!!

I try to live each day with gratitude, and respect those around ( and boy, that can be a hard one sometimes!!) I saw this written on a monastery wall, and I'll end with this...

My names Peter. I'm an alco... sorry, old joke.

I've always had an indescribable inner desire to belong to a different time. In the past few years I've come to love sixties and seventies music (I didn't like any before that) such as The Beatles, Kinks, Doors, Moody Blues, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who etc etc and also read and watch a lot of sixties culture and especially hippy culture. It's obvious to me this is when I'd like to have been born, in an area of fun, liberation, ideas and idealism like that rather than todays "comfortably numb" culture. It has the culture of the sixties and seventies without the emotional drive.

Ah well. I'll leave. I intend to purchase a dormobile and travel the world when I'm older anyway. Not sure how I'll get it across the seas (I'm English) but I'm sure I'll find a way. Lots of rubber dingies no doubt.
