    HOLA!
I hope everyone is doing great today... As for myself, unfortunately I have to work today. Haven't slept much, last night was too long. But that's my weekend, what can I say.
    Ok... so... here I go...
I was born in New York, moved to Puerto Rico when I was 5 and been here ever since.
I have no idea what I'm supposed to say. I guess that's what the profile is for...
Anyway... gotta get back to work making coffee...

My name is Nikki, I’m 20 and I live in Southern NH. I am Buddhist, a free spirit, unhappily trapped in a society that doesn’t understand me... I’ll put links here that will bring you to my profile and pictures from my life if anyone wants to know and see more about me than what I put here...

    http://360.yahoo.com/my_profile.html

    http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/polishedseductress85/my_photos

I found this forum when I was searching for people like me... and I post in hopes of meeting people around New Hampshire that are happy and friendly and willing to let me into their circle. All my so called "friends" don’t know where im coming from and think im crazy. I have a life, with and apartment, a roommate, a car, bills, bad credit and people that don’t understand me. I feel so alone, and im willing to give it all up. I want to live humbly, I don’t need all these dishes and furniture. I need to be with people, socialize and talk about life and make good friends. I looked into communes, but that’s not what im looking for. Is there anyone out there that’s a hippie inside like me, that chills with a bunch of people and sleeps wherever.... know a circle of friends that like to trip, and have a couch for someone? Are there any other Buddhists out there that want to have other people to journey the middle path to enlightenment along with them? I do!!!! Reality is what you believe, whatever you believe is reality... Does anyone hear me? Maybe I’m not thinking loud enough!

Well enough of my ranting, Whoever reads this: have a beautifully wonderful moment, over and over again for the rest of this life! :)

ok i'll try to introduce myself. please forgive me if i do some mistakes, my english sometimes goes :|

well, My name is Diana and i'm 16 years old. I live in Porto, Portugal - a small country "the tail of europe" or whatever we're called. Our democracy is very young so there are not many "open-minded people" here. Even teenagers seem to not care about any of the problems our world is facing. blah.. :/

I love music, and i've played the piano for 5 years and studied theory for 7.. I sing since i can remember :). I also love theatre, photography and cinema and i want to go to the US when i'm 18 to try to get a job there, doing which i love since i was a little child, acting and singing. I know many people go there for the same thing but i won't give up anyway.

I don't know what to say really, but i'm very interested in this website, everything i find is amazing!

My name is Lisa, and i live in Essex in the UK. i've not really been on the forum for very long, but then i haven't really been a hippie for very long, well, i guess its one of those things where its inside you all the time, and its only when you realise it that you let it out! For example, i've been a vegetarian for ages and my mum always says i was bron in the wrong time era, she keeps offering to buy me lentil soup like neil out of the young ones! i really wish i could have been at Woodstock, or even alive in the 60s! i found this forum by accident, i was looking up random hippie things like shops and pitures and this came up and i'm really glad it did! I've been looking around, and everyone seems pretty nice! i have to say though, on some other forums, i tend to post way too much, so if i start to do that, just tell me i am and i'll go away for a week and start again! I didn't realise there were so many hippie around my age, now i can say that I'm not the only one when people at school give me stick for not dressing like everyone else! oh by the way, my typing does tend to go a bit weird, but i will try and make the effort!

    Peace!

Howdy peoples, my name is Richie. I'm 17 years old, about to turn 18 in 5 days (w00t!). I wouldn't necessarily say that I am a hippie, by standard hippie definition, but I think there's some hippie in me. Perhaps if I were to go by stereotype, then yes, I'm a hippie, but I don't like stereotypes, and I'm sure you guys don't either. Sometimes I like to call myself a modern day hippie. I'd like to know what I mean by that, maybe one day I'll figure it out.
I like to believe that music is the greatest thing ever. I love very much listening to it and making it. I play, in order of talent (but who's to judge?) guitar, bass, and drums. I've played (or at least had) my bass the longest, but sadly I neglect it. I picked up drums somehow very easily, but I don't own a drumset, so you see where that goes. I just recently (about a month ago) got my guitar, and that's my favorite thing to play. If I were to mention who my favorite bands were, the list would go on forever. So I'll just say, "the classics," ya know, Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, but I absolutely LOVE Bob Dylan. God I love Bob Dylan. He'd have to be my favorite of my favorites, if that makes sense.
I also love to write. Poetry mainly, (http://epnweb.org/blogmeister/blog.php?blogger_id=10209), that's my blog. It's part of my creative writing class. You can comment on stuff if you wish. (I think that's why I linked it =D). I just feel that writing is pure and great, and that everyone has the ability to say or write what they feel.
When it comes to religion, I'm very tolerant. There are, of course, many religions I don't agree with (*cough*Christianity*cough*) but that's just my opinion, but still, tolerant I am. I'm pretty much agnositic, considering I don't know if there is a God, and I couldn't prove it if I said there was. But a friend of my gave me an interesting, insightful definition of God, "I believe that everything, everywhere, the entire universe comprises the one God." I like that definition, and for now, that's what I'll stick with. Though I don't practice it as much as I would like, I think my favorite religion is Buddhism. I like the idea that it was one man who found inner peace, and instead of forcing that onto people, simply became a mentor. It just makes sense that way. It's like, "hey, I'm gonna tell ya this, you don't have to believe, but I'm gonna tell ya anyways," and I think that's how things should work. Everyone is entitled to do whatever they want (to a certain extent of course (excluding violence, etc)).
Man, I don't wanna make this thing too long. I guess my final thought would have to be, I believe in true love. I think love very well leads to happiness. No matter what form of love, whether friendships or intimacy, it's all good. =) I guess that's it.
    -peace

Well, My name is Corina, I am 18, and I live in the beautiful central coast of california where there is no such thing as a season.. (never seen snow...and I dont know anyone that has had heat stroke) it basically stays a comfortable temperature here. My parents were hippies in the 60's and as a child I attended many "full moon" parties (An excuse for my parents and their freinds to get together and smoke pot). My whole life my parents have past on the hippie ways to me...for a while i rebelled (its what we do right?) but by now I have embraced it.

I love being in nature, and I really want to help people. I have always wanted to travel to less fortunate countries and help people....but unfortinatly dont have the money to do such things.
Where I live now it is full of rich people that build and build and build new houses...I dont think they will stop till there is nothing left. But for the most part my parents are "the weird ones" in town, and I am there weird child. People just dont understand our way of life, and that NOT having a huge mansion, big SUV, and little dogs with desinger sweaters is ok.
I hope to move to SAN FRAN in two years, its only like 3 hours away.... cant wait to get out of this town, and see real diversity, and cant wait to walk down HATE and ASHBURY! haha...
I DO love to smoke pot, and I have experimented with drugs...a little bit;) ....but I dont regret anything.....i love living life..!!
    PEACE&LOVE

um, hi. I am the Megness (or Meg, which ever) i'm 15 years young.
I like German (the language) and humans (the people).
Music: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Cream, and...other newer rock.
I'm a tree hugger, and a semi-libral. not too loud, but not soft spoken.
No one calls me a hippy but me. Because it sounds like happy, and because...I like the ideals... (but i takes showers, so get off me) I have been told I danced like a hippy though...it's fun, you should try it.
I've been on here...for a week or two. Who knows...
OH! and not all hippies do pot. (example: ME fool) just the fun ones...

I'm Isabelle, 15 years old and live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I'm not really a hippie that much, more of a metalhead (atleast in music taste).
I have an absolute thing for art, nature and music (and psychedelics). I joined this forum out of boredom and find myself more and more active.
I hang out outside in the summer usually to smoke with friends (too often),but when I'm in or somewhere else I sing in a band, play guitar, piano and draw, make digital paintings, fractal art and stuff.
I have a boyfriend who I love a lot, he's english and 19 years old. He calles me a hippie to annoy me basically.
I come from a punk family and my babysitters where two hippies, thats probably what I got all the influences from.
I'm in school and planning to do the art academy when I'm done, I'm far too chaotic for anything else anyway.
    Thats about it.
