Hi!


I'm Amber, I'm 16 and live near Bristol in the UK. However, this is not really where I belong, so I'm just biding my time until the time comes for me to travel to new and interesting places!

Currently I am a student, studying for A-Levels at 6th form college in French, Spanish, History and Environmental Science.

However, my passion is music. I love many bands from the 60s and 70s like Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, Crosby Stills and Nash to name but a few! I also love many modern bans, such as The Others. Basically, I love music with a message! My all time favourite band though, just has to be the awe inspiring Led Zep!!!

I play the piano, the guitar, the flute.

My favourite past times at the moment have to be travelling (to anywhere away from here) and day-dreaming. My ambition for the future is to volunteer in Africa for my gap year, go to university, and then do aid work in Africa and/or Asia.

My dream is to wander barefoot with my soulmate to wherever something takes me... to live in happiness and to spread happiness where I go.

I just found this site...today! Oh wow. Haha. Anywho, I figured I've jumped into two topics already, I might as well take the courtesy to introduce myself and hope to dodge any newbie stereotypes.

My name is Manda. Not Ramona. That is good to know. And originally, my name is Amanda, but the A was chopped off in 8th grade. I am 18 years old, I live in a town affectionately nicknamed Hell. I am an obsessive f...an of the Beatles and I used to wear a peace sign everywhere...then it broke and ran away. I have yet to see it again. That's sad. I got a new peace sign with flames coming out of it which was neat, but alas, as my luck goes, it ran away also.

I like incense. I like it a lot. And that is difficult because I'm living at home with my parents until August and they do not appreciate the smell of incense as much as I, and the dorms at the college I am going to attend do not allow any burning of anything. It is a sad thing. Luckily, I have f...riends that share my l...ove and they have their own apartments.

I like to write, although I have suffered some major writer's block in the past two years. I am highly involved in t...heatre arts and speech at school. I am the stage manager for the One Act P...lay competition we are doing this year and I am the vice president of our speech team. I like painting and I love playing guitar, though I must admit I am horrible at it.

Some musical artists/bands that I dig are the Beatles, Eric Clapton, the Eagles, the T...raveling Wilburys, Bob Marley, Sublime, the Ramones, the Cure, Jimi Hendrix, Coldplay, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I really guess that's all there is to me. I love talking, I love meeting new people. Most of all I love not being bored! Hehe.

Hey everybody,

My name is Katie and I'm from Tacoma, Washington (that's down a little south of Seattle.) I'm 15 and muddling my way through these crazy teen years as best I can. Ummm, music, I like whatever's on the radio right now, the Beatles (of course) a lot of world music, african drumming, steel pans, several genres of rock. I'm pretty open.
Politically I am most definately on the left-hand side of the spectrum. (And for those of you wondering, no, I'm not one of those people who get their views spoonfed to them by their parents. I actually read the newspaper and am constantly looking for the other side of the story.) I think Bush is leading us all down the path of death, destruction, violence, and intolerance and it HAS to stop.
I love hiking, beaches in general, the night sky on a clear night, flowers opening up in the sun, the smell of rain, sunlight through the treetops. I just hope it's still there for the people who come after, at the rate we're going it might not be. But anyway, you get it, nature, friends, people, laughter, compassion, the works. I LOVE to travel and want to be a complete gypsy when I get the chance. Just work my way from place to place and not be tied down to a job and house payments. Although that may happen anyway, but we'll see.
