My name is Alyssa and I live in Connecticut (aka Snoresville USA) I've been a hippy all my life, but I just started really getting into the ideology and theories and stuff. I have so many favorite bands that I'm just gonna list a few: The Beatles, Green Day, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cat Stevens, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Eat World, The Police, The Doors, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Blink 182, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (together or solo), The Clash, Yes, and Camp Kill Yourself (CKY), and many, many more! I just turned fifteen years old on October 27. I'm a Sophomore in high school. When I graduate high school I want to go to school to learn entertainment technology, or in layman's terms how to be a roadie. My dream is to either work in a theater on Broadway (in New York City), or to go on tour with a band. I'm against the war in Iraq, and I don't agree with President Bush on a lot of issues but I do respect him. I'm not really into politics, but I am a strong supporter of legalizing marijuana. I've been researching marijuana for industrial use (hemp), medical use, and for recreational use. I'm a strong supporter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws and Change The Climate, Inc. I've tried to talk to my folks about how I feel about marijuana, but they've shot me down everytime I tried to tell them about it. One of my goals in life is to open my parents' and friends' minds to new ideas (they're still pretty close minded, but it's not good to judge). My parents forbid me to donate money to NORML and C the C, but I'm trying to find a way around them. I have never used marijuana (or any other drug for that matter), but I still feel strongly about it. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I'm going to try marijuana, but I won't stop fighting for legalization. As far as religion goes I was raised Roman Catholic, but over the years I have found that I don't agree with everything the Church teaches. I believe in the main teachings of the Church, but my beliefs have started to meld together with ideas and beliefs of different religions such as Buddhism and Taoism as well as a few others. I'm still searching for what I truly believe in though. My hope for the future is that someday all the countries in the world will be at peace with one another, and that all of humanity can finally live in harmony side by side. Peace and love to you, your families and friends! Pass It On!
Hey dudes! My names Emma, I live in Australia, Blue Mountains. I've joined this site a few times, but I always forget to log in and then all my info's lost for some reason...So if I seem familiar (though you've probably forgotton about me now,) then that' probably why... I'm 16, currently have finished my School Certificate (YAY YAY YAY!!!) and my plans for the future go something like this: 1. Travel around Australia 2. Go to uni and become an English Teacher. 3. Haven't gotten that far yet. I have been in love with the 70's and the hippy life style since I can remember. My parents use to live in the bush and grow their own vegies. But then they got sick of it and moved up here. They're both still hippies at heart, but not as much as they use to be. I'm interested in alot of stuff, art, poetry, music, books, different cultures, travelling, camping, and I'm really into nature. It's so beautiful! I really think this site is a fantastic place! I love it here and I love the people! You guys are great! Peace!
