I think it’s ok if it happens on something that isn’t a purpose built dating site/app. As somebody above said he met his girlfriend randomly on a music site. Purpose built dating sites are riddled with odd people (much like this site), and people not really saying who they are. Perhaps I’m old fashioned (and married) but I think the old way of just asking somebody out is a much better way of going about things.
I tried a few web sites out. I met a guy off of one dating site but it didn't work out in the end. I've also tried meeting woman on several other dating sites but had no such luck. For now, I'm taking a break from the whole dating site for a bit. I'm sure I'll find someone one day.
depends on how old you mean, but i do agree. it's way easier to just give her dad a cow and let him make her marry you.
Haha. I actually did ask my wife’s Dad to marry her. We’d actually been together 7 years at that point anyway.
I met my current g/f online. I had been on a few dates from it but nothing that was going to lead to more. I was literally 24 hours away from my subscription running out. Did not plan on renewing. I got a message on my last day. Her profile didn't have a pic. I could tell she was being protective. Which is normal for the girls. At any rate she wrote a good message. We went back and forth about 6 messages. I told her I was about to leave. Offered her my personal email. Got along good on a screen. I finally said I'll need to see a pic before I would consider a meet. She sent me her pic. It was the first time I realized she was black. It didn't matter I just didn't expect it based on the exchanges. We hit it off from day one and we have been together for 2 years now. Haven't had a cross word and she has been one of the sweetest women I have ever met. Goes out if her to make me happy and please me. I was a little worried about our age difference but it's only been an issue when I ache and she doesn't. She's been a pleasure in my life. She was attracted to a well written profile. Had something to say without being a needy novel. Be yourself. In the end that's what you have to be anyway.
