PPS:. I spoke to Grim he somehow cannot get onto the forums anymore so he asked me to post this....

(12:13:44 AM) Avernaith: Since I cannot get into the forums at all, would you be kind enough to post in that thread and tell them you spoke to me and that everything is still happening, and I still am happy to talk to anyone who is interested - but can't access the forums? I hate to impose, but I don't want people to think I abandoned it'

Thanks to my friend for posting that message for me, very appreciated.

Blinkin, I may well end up very interested in doing just that. I'd love your email addy so I could talk to you more about it.

Everyone else: if you're interested at all, I'm starting up an email list and so please get your addy to me!
I won't spam you, but I think it would be a good idea to put our heads together.

So if you're coming, or hopping in somewhere along the way, or just very interested, drop me a line!

You can pm here but it'd be better for me if you just emailed me -

There's a change going on. I've felt this change sweep over me, and into me. I let this change destroy many aspects of me, all of which had been superficial. I then let it settle, and in it's own time, I let it become me. It's come to a point where I have to be true to who I am, and to how I want to live my life, as I am. Free.

I've been successful. I've been accomplished. I know the road everyone seems to want to take. I've been fed the American Dream too, as if I'd like it too. I even walked that road, wearing other people's shoes, following other people's visions and expectations of me, until one night, my soul caught up with me.

I asked myself in a dream one magical night, "Do you ever feel like you're living someone else's dream?" And I knew the answer. Then, after asking the right questions, more answers came tumbling in to my open door. Follow true north, it's my happiness that guides me. Follow that road and it'll take me in the only direction for me. This is your life, and live it how you want to live it. Be true to yourself.

I tried living in a gypsy caravan -- I have a 2001 sienna minivan that my mom gave to me. But driving can get exhausting at times, when the fuels burning and you're feeling more of aimless then centered at that point. I'd like to stay at communes or co-ops if I had it my way, or have destinations waiting on the map, so I could also stay in touch with community and the earth, and not just fully alienate myself on the road, because I'm already trying to figure out a smarter system than before, on this road I've come to love...

A road-less-walked-upon, that leads to starry nights and mystical sunrises, ocean bays and winding mountain roads. The only road that takes me home. Can't fight the gypsy spirit, I say.

Anyway, I'm up for the adventure. I'm looking right now, for communes or co-ops on the east coast. Or I'd like to start one of my own. I'm willing to lend my van to willing participants, since I myself had an idea, and have spearheaded my projects. I wanted to go on a pilgrimage, and take whoever along for the ride, just to live as we are, with no mission in mind, but to be free.

But it still hasn't happened yet. I still haven't quite gotten it together, but I feel like it's at the tip of my tongue. As if it's waiting. Waiting, for the right push. Waiting, for the right people to sail away with. And the time is now, it really is. But I've been met with my own challenges. We always do.

Dis-organization leads to ruins, that's what I've come across. Going with the wrong motives. Also, when the money runs out, it's a dead end, until I've figure out how to obtain some, fast, especially when I've got a car to keep in check. I guess, this is when trades come in, because working talents are a saving grace to mankind, especially in these kinds of situations. Food's never been too much of an issue, just the maintenance and survival tactics that I've learned throughout my journeys.

Here's some ideas that have worked. I've made and sold my own jewelry. I can paint, and sell them. I'd say, yes to lowering my own expectations, but I haven't done anything that I'd regret later on. My word is who I am, that's my moral system.

What I might want to do, considering my trade, is to make a documentary of it, or a travel log that will keep my own dreams afloat. It'll remind me, most of the time, why it is I'm doing this. I want to hold fast these memories, so I can tell my stories again someday, to others. I want to keep reaching out, as much as I'm taking from inside. I want to do my part, as well as live my part.

These are just ideas, swaying in the wind right now.

If anyone's up for the adventure, and the challenge of a lifetime. If you're whimsical enough, but bold enough to leave your box behind, and head out to greet a nameless road. If you're willing to give up all of your expectations, to be as you are, in respect of all people of course. If you're just a beautiful soul like me and everyone else in this world, just trying to live in peace, but willing to work at it to keep this dream alive, to be free --

Email me. It's steph.flood@yahoo.com. Love you all. Namaste.

I'm ready, Blinkin. I'm still shooting for a 'launch date' of a couple years from now, though that may well move a little closer given how...well...just ready to give it all up and go I am.

I'd love to be able to chat with you one on one with this a little...if you have any sort of instant messenger or email. I have some questions I think you'd be the best to answer.

I'm in. I can do just most things you set me to do with a computer or electronics. I realize this isn't very helpful but it is what I know. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help make this work. Lets get this going!

(p.s. I sent you an email)

I'm very interested in something like this - actually joined because of your post, LOL. The only concern I have is size - it's harder for a big group to be inconspicous than a small one, and especially on the east coast where there are fewer free-camping public lands, a big group could be problematic. And a whole group of buskers or jewelrymakers also means it can be harder for any one person to make enough, even if everyone pooles their resources.

I'm mostly just looking for one or two other families or individuals to travel with, I guess? A community, but a very small one.

Pm me if your serious about this, I can play guitar, make hemp shit, and dye shirts to help. And I have a job so i'm saving money so I can do something like this soon. I think you need a better plan so you don't end up with a bunch of runaways with your thumb out on the street next to a broken down bus.

Yeah, I've got some cash saved up for a summer trip. I graduate in may!!!
Maybe you could supplement with some kind of on-line business. Like t-shirts.
