Desires and dependencies make us into thieves. Inner cleaning, however, fills our actions with spiritual honesty, and our motives become selfless. There is a steady stream of elevated thinking. Then God is able to work through us, and our only desire is to become good, an instrument for God. Keeping ourselves in peace, love and mercy is the basis for being able to talk to God and having Him hear what we say. "Don't come into sound too much, stay in the Home, with Me". This is what He is signaling to us now. Such signals, filled with His love, endear us to Him very much. ~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.
"Those whom I have loved I could never hate, even though they grow uninteresting through ugly behaviour. In my museum of recollections, I can still behold those traits that caused me to love them. Beneath the temporary mental masks of those whose behaviour I dislike, I see the perfect love of my great Beloved, even as I see it in those worthy souls that I love . To stop loving is to stem the purifying flow of love. I shall loyally love every being, everything, until I find all races, all creatures, all animante and inanimante objects embraced by my love. I will love until every soul, every star, every forsaken creature, every atom, is lodged in my heart; for the infinite love of God, my breast of eternity is large enough to hold everything in me. Oh Love, I see Thy glowing face, in the gems. I behold Thy shy blush in the blossoms. I am enraptured, hearing Thee warble in the birds. And I dream in ecstacy when my heart embraces Thee in all hearts. Oh Love, I met thee in all hearts. Oh Love, I met Thee in all things--only a little and for awhile--but in Omnipresence I clasp thee entirely and forever, and I rejoyce in Thy joy, evermore."- "Reflections On Love" ~Paramahansa Yogananda
Even as the sun shines and fills all space With light, above, below, across, so shines The Lord of Love and fills the hearts of all created beings. From him the cosmos comes, he who teaches Each living creature to attain perfection According to its own nature. He is The Lord of Love who reigns over all life. -Shvetashvatara Upanishad
"A deep bond unites all of us who love God and sincerely strive to follow the principles of spiritual living that Gurudeva has given. We are traveling together toward the Supreme Goal; and by our prayers, meditations, and efforts to attune our thoughts and actions with the Divine, we uplift one another and can do much to spread the light of His goodness and love. Over the years as I journeyed to different parts of the world in serving Gurudeva’s work, I saw that in every human being, regardless of culture or nationality, there is a common yearning for love and understanding. Perfect, all-satisfying love is sought in countless outer ways. Yet it remains elusive until we begin to realize that there is but One who can completely fill the emptiness in our hearts – the God who created us. It is He who gives us the capacity to feel love, the ability to care for others; and in Him who is the Source of all love, the deepest desires of our hearts will find fulfillment. Nothing can match the joy that comes when we wrest time from the world to be with that Divine Beloved in the stillness within. In the silent depths of communion with Him, we find our consciousness enlarging in the realization that we are not just this isolated little body and mind, but are a part of His infinite omnipresence – and that His boundless love embraces our soul and the souls of all. Let us also cultivate in all facets of our daily lives that expanded consciousness that reaches beyond our own wants to include the needs of others. Even in the little decisions you make, ask yourself, 'How will this affect the well-being of those around me?' When interacting with others, consider, 'What can I say or do that will encourage this person and create between us and in the environment around us a greater understanding?' If our thoughts and actions flow from a heart filled with genuine caring, others cannot help but feel the harmonizing influence of our goodwill. 'Do everything with the attitude of love – love for God and for God in all,' Guruji reminded us. I pray that you may bring that spirit of God-love into every experience, every relationship, every action you undertake. By living in that consciousness, you will feel in your life the wondrous transforming power of that Love." - Sri Daya Mata, President of Paramahansa Yoganada's Self Realization Fellowship (SRF)

I honor the God and the Goddess, The eternal parents of the universe. The Lover, out of boundless love, takes the form of the Beloved. What Beauty! Both are made of the same nectar and share the same food. -Jnaneshwar (also known as Jnanadeva)
Arjuna: O Krishna, you have recommended both the path of selfless action and sannyasa, the path of renunciation of action. Tell me definitely which is better. Sri Krishna: Both renunciation of action and the selfless performance of action lead to the supreme goal. But the path of action is better than renunciation. Those who have attained perfect renunciation are free from any sense of duality; they are unaffected by likes and dislikes, Arjuna, and are free from the bondage of self-will. -Bhagavad Gita 5:1-3
Matthew 4:1-11 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And he fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterward he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread." But he answered, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" Then the devil took him to the holy city, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, 'He will give his angels charge of you,' and 'On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus said to him, "Again it is written, `You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'" Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them; and he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me." Then Jesus said to him, "Begone, Satan! for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'"
Prayer for Peace May there be peace in the higher realms; may there be peace in the firmament; may there be peace on earth. May the waters flow peacefully; may the herbs and plants grow peacefully; may all the divine powers bring unto us peace. The Supreme Lord is peace. May we all be in peace, peace, and only peace; and may that peace come unto each of us. - Traditional Hindu Prayer

Arjuna: Of those steadfast devotees who love you and those who seek you as the eternal formless Reality, who are the more established in yoga? Sri Krishna: Those who set their hearts on me and worship me with unfailing devotion and faith are more established in yoga. -Bhagavad Gita 12:1-2 ---- They say I'm not what I used to be All the same I'm happier than a willow tree Shine or rain sitting here by a stream (Mmm) There's nothing I'd rather feel In this world You and your sweet serenity Rocking me Melting my heart away I know something so dear to me Beyond words Beautiful feeling in my soul Sounds I've heard Like humming birds in a dream (Mmm) That mystical one I knew Is returned Lulling me with those raincloud eyes Taking me Melting my heart away I am yes I am I know what I feel You came in my life Made me more real I know whatever we may have been In past times Has sorted the truth out from the rest Win or lose I always knew you'd be there (Mmm) You answer my deepest prayer In a song Shimmering slowhand flowing clear Moving me Melting my heart away I am yes I am I know what I feel You came in my life Made me more real (Mmm) That mystical one I knew Is returned Lulling me with those raincloud eyes Taking me Melting my heart away- George Harrison
Mother of the Universe, I have no desire to exercise power. I would not even care to be an emperor. Sweet Mother, please grant me two simple meals each day and wealth enough to thatch the palm roof of my clean earthen house, where I offer dreaming and waking as red flowers at your feet -Ramprasad
" 'When I read your letter to Ma, she said: "Tell him to look for Krishna within and not without and that he will see Him when he cares for nothing else but Him." Speaking for myself, I know there was a time when it used to irritate me if people talked too much of "within". I felt I wanted to see him without, but I have since understood that one must first see Him within and then only He is seen everywhere.' "- Letter from Sri Krishnaprem to Dilip Kumar Roy; Pilgrims of the Stars
I am not detachment nor salvation, Nor anything reached by the senses; I am behold all thought and form. I am everywhere, and nowhere at all- I am Consciousness and Bliss. I am Shiva! I am Shiva! -Shankaracharya
Hare Krishna ! Taken from life : After giving deeksha (Initiation in spiritual life) Gurudev asked His new disciple, " Why did you take deeksha ?" There was no answer as the disciple was still lost in some wonderful feelings and did not know what to say. Gurudev then said, "Did you take it just for a better living, more money, better health, better jobs, etc? Remember, you have taken initiation only for self realization and knowing God. That is the only significance of this human birth. Have faith and love in your Mantra and try to do japa at all times, that alone will take care of all your spiritual needs. While doing this several powers will come to you to tie you down from further elevation, never get attracted by these and never practise them." There was a pause and suddenly His eyes and face changed and He was looking like a different man. He spoke again and the words seemed to be travelling from a far distant place, "Right now while sitting here I can give you any information of any person living at any corner of this earth. You may be astounded and overwhelmed by this but this is a very cheap power that automatically comes to you in your spiritual path of progress. Just ignore them because your aim is something else, strive for that. If everything fails after all sincere efforts use your last weapon which never fails to tie and bring Him to you. Cry for Him like a baby does for its mother, cry until He shows up......." He stopped again.
"All love is expansion, all selfishness is contraction. Love is therefore the only law of life. He who loves lives, he who is selfish is dying. Therefore love for love's sake, because it is law of life, just as you breathe to live."-Swami Vivekananda
"Let me think of you all the time. Whatever comes from You or is sanctioned by You is a blessing for me: joy or pain, love or rejection, whatever I recieve, let me accept on bended knees. Only reveal to me your will and the way to do your will. Give or take what you will, but let me not take my eyes off the Goal. I do not know what is good for me, nor want to know why or how you are drawing me toward you. That you draw me close to you is all I ask. If this self-will does not bend, break it with the wrath of your Love. Let me learn to give all I have and am--keeping back nothing. All that I give I save, all that I hoard I lose. Let me become what you want me to become. Good or bad, whatever I am, I belong to you. To become yours is my job. The rest is your business, not mine."- Ma Indira Devi, Pilgrims of the Stars
When Rama inquired into the secret knowledge of the sages, Sage Vashista said.... "O Rama, the extinction of Vasanas alone is Moksha (liberation), the fixation of the mind in material objects through Vasanas (latent tendencies) is bondage. Atma-Vichara (self-inquiry) is very essential for the mind to get purified and to attain the state of Shanti (peace) which is the pathway for realisation. An aspirant for perfection should cultivate such virtues as Santosha (contentment) and should keep the company of sages and saints (Sadhu-sangha)."
I am forever pure. What is illusion, Or the world? What is the little soul, Or God Himself? One without two, I am always the same. I sit in my heart. -Ashtavakra Gita 20:11-12
