Whilst on the other hand, if we posted a picture like that in this thread, but with dreads, we'd probably hear a rant against conventional beauty and looking too skinny...

 

i don't think that girl looks like britney at all. that little indie hipster chick is so fucking adorable and her dreads are gorgeous!

 

i dont like her, or her music, but sometimes i think that all she needs is a hug and a decent friend whos got her back. its a shame that everyone thinks shes gone crazy, when she clearly needs some sort of help..

 

I think she wants to stay famous, and since she can't do that with decent music, she acts crazy. Simple as that.

I shared a house with a Madonna fan for 8 years, and in pretty much every album post 1998 (which she played to death) there is at least 1 song about how fame and wealth isn't all its cracked up to be, how no-one understands her, how she's realised the folly of her ways... blah, blah, yawn.

It must be a tough life never having to worry about paying the morgage with the prospect of looming redunancy.

 

most 'celebs' looks fucked up and unhappy. money aint shit. look at posh spice. she is one horrid woman. she can't step out of her house withour her gigantic heels, sunglasses covering her face, an imaculate outfit and the same glum face everytime I see a picture of her! I feel for her kids. My mum never had time to look 'glam' w 4 of us but we got to jump on her, play w her, hug and kiss her. Posh spice would prolly snap in half if one of her kids did that!

my love sunshine, (well, she probly would be my wife if she wasnt a lesbian) that is truly the most amazing woman i know at 7 had the ol;den twins contrasct (her and her twin sis that is) but had to turn down the contract for surgery (shed had 28 brain surgeries by that time, which was when she was 7)
shed also had a multi million dollar record deal..she turned that down too, this time to avoid wealth and fame
never respected anyone more then i respected her for that.
shed already had an incredibly hard life (but still was pure sunshine despite all that) and even though she came from total poverty, born to as homeless moyther, raised by foster parents and abused worse then anyone she still chose to give up wealth and fame to live simply
shed had..hmmi think 8 carereers by the time she reached 18..her 1st at 6..she was always instantly great at anything she tried
she was helping with brain and heasrt surgery by the age of 15 (started at 13 liscenced at 15)

she still sings. just for herself mostly cause she enhjoys it, i mean shes got a carrer singing but only takes it 1/2 serously, and also has 1 as a voice coach and stuff
but mostly she just wantsto licve simply, heal and be free
even without the slightest bit of fame she cant steop outside without the entire neighbourhood flocking to her..total strangers get caufht in her gravitational pull
i was so blessed to be the only guy shed ebver trusted enough to have a relationship with..and even as close as we were/are i knew if she set foot out the door even to make a call she wouldnt be back for 8-12 hiours..1st the kids would whisk her away then well everyone else who saw her
i couldnt imagine how horroble it would be if she had ever been famouse.

Soaringeagle your double standards with regards to how you judge women are pissing me off a bit now. Like I said earlier, stick that pic in the sexy thread with one of our dready heads on it and you'd be all over us. But put it in this thread, with or without dreads in fact, and you're all "eeew". It's bullshit.

 

i can't see what the 'ewww' factor is myself. Granted, i don't really "do" the St Tropez tan look, but this is one case where the un-natural is far, far healthier than the natural.

As far as her body goes... she's fit and toned. At the peak of her career before her head went up her arse she was in good shape. She danced. Alot. So she has bleached hair and a fake tan - so do great swathes of the female population across the West. Do you find them "horrifying" and "upsetting" too? Do you make gross judgements about their mental and spiritual wellbeing as well?

SE, I'm having big trouble with this post, and I'm gonna ask you politely to please cut the self-righteous, sanctimonious clap-trap. In this post is was verging on offensive.

 

If it had been anyone else I'd have actually assumed it was sarcasm.
