As much as i'd like to dis on Indiana, i was born and raised in Illinois, just over the border from Lafayette where the land is flat and eternal and the trees have all been cut down. At least in Indiana most farms still have rows of trees between the fields. And down here in Bloomington in the Indiana hill country is a great place to live. If anyone's coming down this way, let me know.

 

Yeah man, B-town is a pretty cool place.I have lots of family down there and in Bedford. I try to get down there a couple of times a year,even if it is to buy some Hinkles (on 3rd ) [Homer imitation]mmmmmmm hinkles. aaaaaaaaaaaagghhh{DROOLS} ,or to see Rick over at Dharma. Haven't been down in awhile tho,Is he still there on Kirkwood?

Yeah, Rick and Dharma are still on Kirkwood. Jiffy Treat down Kirkwood just got razed and is gettin rebuilt taller. Von Lee got razed(90%) and is gettin rebuilt. Everywhere you look something gettin torn down.

 

Glad to hear about Dharma,I used to go there all the time but I don't get south often anymore.(I'm a pedestrian now).When I do tho I'll go see Rick.
I can just imagine how the town looks now. Sounds like everything is changin.Probably wouldn't recognize it now. Thanx to "progress" huh?

 

I have lived all over the country and there are a lot worse places than Indy. There are some that are better as well, but far more that are worse. Cheers

 

You complain about Indy, which I'm moving to DeKalb soon, but what specifically do you dislike? I live in NJ and taxes are ridiculously high on houses. There are no freedoms like burning paper or stuff in your yard, or shooting or BUYING a b-b gun. Just a non-hip politically correct state of the man imposing his will on the people. Money rules and people in the workplace should never be mistaken as 'friends' here, because that will burn you. I've worked in Mahnattan for years, that place sucks too unless you're loaded to do anything, unless you spend what you earn and live paycheck to paycheck and don't build any equity in anything and keep workin' for the man, until the man has you hire and train your replacement....

Oh wow, this thread is like four years old...I don't hate Indy, I just would like to explore other parts of the country, and at the time I wrote this I was hating where I was living at.
Brown County is a good place to go, I enjoy wooded areas and they have secluded cabins and such, which is nice...

 

I live out in warcity indy aka warsaw real close to fort wayne, columbia city, goshen, naptown that area, pretty big actually, good town, shitty for buds though, theres some great mids, but no great strains, anyone in indy wanna do bidness? pm me

greenwood is. god it blows here. there is NOTHING to do. but there are some fun places in indiana. like, bloomington is wonderful! and broad ripple is pretty nice, i've only ever been there a couple of times, though. indianapolis is okay, the IMA is really nice. I go to IU so i live in bloomington and i really fit right in, theres such a great music/art scene. and some really killer head shops

 

but given the choice between bloomington and, say, NY? i don't even need a whole heartbeat to decide that one haha

Yeah I'm from Indy, I feel your pain man. I live about 1 1/2 miles south of Beech Grove. (Aka the white trash -_-) Yeah I wish I lived in Carmel, so much better Hey atleast I live in Warren Township and not IPS xD But even then Warren is invested with degenerates.
