Matt makes a great point. I've seen this first hand in Central America. The US is destroying these countries by actually giving them money. It's very sad, and just a tad ironic. Factual in the sense of it being relevant to the country's agenda.
all i know is that a person can only be that way or not.. there is no on off switch when you become a animal. so to me there is no solution until they themselves choose to stop what they are doing. as i said,, the world played its hand, and its no different.
You can't depend on the government, because the government only works for its own benefit and those running it. Even the UN so-called "peacekeepers," which operates under the guise of humanitarianism, has an ulterior motive and has only brought more suffering to these people's lives. So I honestly DON'T know what can be done to stop it. All I know is that there is a lot of suffering in this world and there has been for a long time. Sometimes it's out of our hands, unfortunately.
I guess I'm just having a hard time KNOWING about this and NOT doing anything...or just ignoring it...or pretending it's not happening...
As I said Annie... catch a plane and help them out... You can ever go into the Peacecorps and try to get sent there. The Peacecorps is not the best organization in the world, but that way you could at least go there on their money. You cannot expect to change the entire world right away, first change what you can as a single human... make a true effort at it... and then the world will eventually follow.
so the women in these countries need to not be such animals? No, it's one gender that is tearing down that part of the world. It's not like Palis. and Isreal where both are equaly wrong while trying to play the victim. Women in that part of the world truely are the victim through no fault of their own. That is the big difference here.
Jesus, time for another pity party. The world's a fucked up place kids. Either quit bitching about it, or get off your snatches and do something.
