The same people who were funding the allied forces were also funding the Nazis. Anyone who understands history knows it was staged, as are all wars. One of the main reasons for WWII was to create the pretext for a global body like the UN, which was set up to become the trojan horse for world government.

Yes...sure... Pearl Harbor was a conspiracy, the US has always wanted to kill some Germans, and so on...

Even if it's all true, it's beyond the point I'm trying to make.

I'm saying that we SHOULD fix it...even if we don't have something to gain...as much damage as the U.S. and Europe have done in the past, we owe it to places like the Congo to step in and help out...especially Europe since MOST of the reason why this is happening is because of the colonization of the Europeans.

No, wars are not simply about killing. Maybe to the people fighting the wars, but at the top there is always a very different agenda than what the people are given.

Serejavo? Wait... the US bombed it more than occupied it. Plus, it was on a much smaller scale, there was no guerilla warfare, it was in allied territory, not in the middle of a damn jungle, and there were Muslims to be killed.
I'm also sure that Matt can give you enough info about Serejavo.

Do you honestly believe that the US went over to Europe to stop genocide?

    Ha!

(even though, there are alot more influencial Jews in the country than peopl from the jungles of the Congo).

...and wait... we are in Iraq to stop Saddam's genocide of the Kurds, right? [IMG]

The fact is Annie, the people who run the government do not give a shit about these people. They only pretend to give a shit when they stand something to gain from "helping."

There is always a different agenda Matt, that's what I'm trying to show Annie.

Some people gain financially from supporting both sides, as you've mentioned. War is always above politics and above what the naked eye sees.

Which is why the US will not "help" the Congo. There is nothing there to satisfy hidden agendas they could achieve with the excuse of "genocide".

Not just money, but control. Money doesn't really mean much to those at the very top, because they own the printing presses which print the money. They already own all the wealth in the world. For those who control the money supply, it is merely a means of control.

Most of the fighting that is going on in Africa is because of "territory"...you see, when Europe colonized Africa, they created political boundaries without taking into consideration the tribal territories...this has created TONS of political unrest, resulting in guerrilla warefare and the like.

The world doesn't, never has, and never will work like that. You can say that we should fix it, should it on the streets, talk to the masses, tattoo it on your forehead, but it won't be fixed. Politics are corrupt, people are corrupt, and no major organization, especially a bloody country, is going to act with nothing to gain. I appreciate your idealism, and even share it... but there are more factual causes to be fought for. If you really want to make a difference in the Congo, then go there yourself, or with a group, and make a big difference in the lives of several people.

Well, you can blame the war on western expansion... but that's extremely far fetches. It's like saying that black people can't get jobs in the US because of slavery.

BSR, I'm not an idiot, I know that there are different agendas...but bottom line is...this should NOT be happening against any group of people...it's disgusting. So what? We should just sit back and let it happen? We shouldm't care?

Well, I care...and in my opinion, we should do something about it...I've written and sent out several letters to different agencies, NGO's, etc...I've done my part...and educating others on what's going on is important as well...

As I said... you are not doing your part until you actually go there and help them yourself. Writing letters isn't going to solve anything in this world. You can write your congressman everyday, and he won't put a law into place unless he has something to profit from it, politically and economically.

The reason Africa is in the state it's in is because of groups like the IMF and World Bank, which under the guise of "helping" the Africans is actually furthing their demise. They loan these countries money which they can never pay back, which puts them into debt, and through debt the West can then go in and claim the land and thus its resources. When they want to take over a certain area for resources or whatever, they simply fund a certain militant tribal group to take out the people. So most of the money the West sends to these countries isn't to help the poor Africans, but to further enslave them and kill them by giving the money to the country's corrupt leaders instead. So a lot of the "guerrilla warfare" you're talking about is actually being funded by the West.

When you're so poor and have nothing to lose...*shrugs* I don't know why they do it...It's just something that I suspect and have read about.
