In the 80's I was building guitars..... had no time for "fashion". My knees out jeans, tee shirt and biker cap were normally covered with sawdust and lacquer. But, damn, the guitars were badass. :2thumbsup:
Early 80's is about when all the custom hot-rod guitars began to emerge...with the influence of Eddie V H, Michal Schenker, and other pioneers of the solo guitar styling known today as 'shredding' tongue, the quality of high-end electric guitars, especially the whammy systems increased dramatically. Though it's an import, my '82 Charvel is still one of the best rigs I've ever owned.
Those were good times growing up as a kid; The A-Team, Miami Vice, Rubik’s Cube, Pac-Man, Beverly Hills Cop, Donkey Kong, Raiders of the Lost Ark :2thumbsup: Hotwater

(77 i moved from placer county california to bed spring acres, a kind of half assed commune in southern oregon. in 87 i moved back to placer county. though i was born elsewhere, those ten years were the longest i've lived anywhere else. they were ten very good years, and i have no particular attachment to placer county. its just where my parents were when they were still alive, and where i had many of my formative experiences) what i most remember about the early 80s, also beginning in 77, were personal computers becoming something you could buy ready made in a store and take home and plug in, instead of having either to be rich, or build them yourself, or both. oh yah. in 1980 i was 32.
