Thank you for your kind words Mally, I almost thought you had gone away yourself! It's nice to see you around.
Our site members may be smart enough to wear a mask and do proper social distancing. Seems so from the reports I read.
Well I hope we are friends Mal, you've been here for ages and ages... like fine wine getting better with ?age? (not to imply you are old LOL!). I think things will get better and better as time goes by...you can't keep time in a bottle. OK, enough...
Are you implying there is something wrong with being old? I don't know anyone getting younger and as far as I am concerned it beats the alternative!
Just bumping this thread so we can remember some of the greats who have graced the halls of HipForums over the decades we have been around
I miss a few of the rabble rousers, but then they went too far. We have had some amazingly talented, friendly and wonderful people grace the halls of the HipForums over time.
Rest in peace you brothers and sisters who have moved on. Almost as sad to me is seeing the posts of those who were here for a year or two and even some that were here for over ten years---just gone from these forums. mamakcita--toolmaggot, the hippiehillbilly and his mate dillagaf and so many others. I guess we'll never know about all of those that are greatly missed. The church of the good earth was inspirational for so long--they were some of the ones that made it happen in the Haight. It's always good to see members from 2004, which was the changeover--knowing that they were here even before that.
I'm an older member. I was very active between 98-05. There was an old hippie named Yellow Owl who passed about 5 years ago. I met him in the communal living forum and actually moved my family 1200 miles to live on his property back in 04. He was a wise man and taught my family so much! I'm not sure anybody now would remember him but I feel he deserves to be mentioned!
Hello @Bee_Rain it's great to have you visit! Sorry I don't remember Yellow Owl... I did a search but couldn't find the one you mentioned. RIP Yellow Owl! Sounds like a fine man and I am glad you found each other and have such happy memories There are a few old timers around, and Skip is still alive and well. Peace be unto you and yours!
Marisa Rincon was a member here, I think her username was prism. She died in 2017. Marisa Rincon – An Impression of Life – County College of Morris
My younger brother Tyrsonswood died May 1, 2023 after a six month bout with cancer. I miss him so much. Rest in Peace.
I am so sorry to hear this. RIP my old friend! I will always remember your wit and sense of humor. You were a star here on the HipForums and will be missed greatly.
Really sorry to hear that. I see his last post was a rip on the GOP budget. A fighter to the end. RIP Tyrsonswood!
