Yea, I'm the same way. Have only started one fight in my life and it was because I got tired of this girl just picking on a friend of mine about things... to a level where I wasn't gonna stand there and just watch that bs anymore.

I don't know... obviously, in prison w people doing life and many, many years this is all a different story.... Jail, although fights do happen in the guys part of it... I think in general if people just stick to that whole thing-worry bout yourself, just stay outta people's business and respect others and they'll respect you....granted there are always exceptions and really really bad county jails... but in general, most people who just do that will be fine and probably not even see too many of those types of situations (watching someone else getting bullied, etc.--- the only people I saw getting picked on were ppl in there for abusing kids and narcs, but they keep those people separate anyways for the most part...)--- and the reason why I think even the guy's side of jail (again not prison, lol...totally diff story!)there isn't too much to worry bout in these ways (violence, rape, etc.) is because everyone there is either A-unsentenced or even still awaiting trial or B- getting out of there in days, weeks, or months most often... and sometimes in a year or two.

So every single person more or less either knows they're going home soon-- or has a chance at trial and sentencing to get a light sentence or getting off completely.

So not too many people (other than the just crazy people and those who don't give a shit...the exceptions) are just gonna go and mess things up by just starting fights with people and raping people, etc. Most people at this stage are just trying to do their time and go home.

Yeah, Im too opinionated not to say and do something if the act is 'wrong'. I beat a guy with a police night stick after a guy beat his dod with his cane until the dog was crying and cowering and he beat him more.
What do I explain to my son what he is doing? Id would rather explain why I beat a man for beating a poor defenseless animal. I did and all who watched me do it with anger and I would have killed him, But I was able to snap out of it. They all but one couple said , no comment, Other than he got what he deserved'.
The old couple got my info and was willing to pay all legal fees and bail for stopping him. Lady could hardly stop crying, But her husband exchanged info and said he will send them in another direction. Nothing came of it and the lady adopted the dog, Because the owner was in jail for animal cruelty, Public intox, Resisting arrest and damage to county/state property.

It might land me in trouble, But if a guy hits a woman in public, He hits the floor! I don't drink so im intolerable of stupid drunks and whos word are they going to take? I hate doing it and sometimes find that I hit the man who has a lot of friends and I take an ass whooping.

Well, I mean, someone earlier made the comment about going in there and starting a fight w the biggest guy in there the first day so you won't be messed with....

and all I could think was two things... One, I've heard someone say exactly that- on tv- in prison.

But it would be laughable to do that in jail. Good way to get extra charges, sent to the hole....extra time....and all for what reason? Everyone else there is just trying to do their time and go home.

If you want to believe that part is a 'myth' about the first guy to confront you, to drop his ass like a bad habit, the to each their own.
