I'm not saying there is anything wrong with southern people...I have some great friends from there and family actually...i just don't like the south as an entity...

lets just keep things real, peolpe from the North try to act like they were so much better than slavery, yes the south had its share of downfalls but so did the north, what could the downfalls of the north be you ask, well lets start with the end of the civil war, after the north defeted the south they turned west and slaughtered the native americans, even women, and children, and those they didn't kill they stole their land and sent them to live in reservations. So as far as I'm concerned the north is every bit as evil as the south if not more.

I'm talking about modern times, the south pisses me off with their country pop, NASCAR, and religious fundamentalsim...not to mention the dumb ass sheriffs,

have you ever even been there seamonster? all that you are saying is stereotyping, all that stuff you mention doesnt bombard you in everyday life unless you look for it.

 

well its there...I've been to the south many times.....its still the most ignorant part of the country..blatant localism, etc.

 

i thought the shanendoah(sp?) area of the appalachians was... guess it's still the south though.

 

there are beautiful places there, I'm just talking about the cultural force..not the individual

visit yeah but you ever live there?? thats different. you cant just go for a visit and feel you know about the culture. it's far too complex.
