Damn dude, what kind of a dumb fuck are you, trying to smoke while driving when you've been busted for pot even once before, not to mention 3 friggin times!

Sounds like you're asking for everything you get.

ok instead of driving for hours to lose a cop... doesn't it make more sense to stop somewhere and get out of your car. IE a gas station or store????????????????

Yeah, how dare they bother you when you're breaking laws. After all, you didn't make up the laws, so why should you have to follow them?

When someone decides to break the "no killing people" law and murders someone you love, I wonder how you would feel if they said, oh well, this guy didn't like that law, so he can go home.

Also, if you dress in an non-conforming way, yes, you're going to attract negative attention. I thought that was the whole point.

Some laws are pointless and do more harm than good. Sure, it should be against the law to kill, rape, and steal, but marijuana has never hurt anyone. Alright, maybe he shouldn't have been packing a bowl while he was driving, but it's no worse than talking on the cell phone or changing a CD while driving. Agreed?

Sometimes cops should make judgement calls and let people slide because I'm sure they realize that some laws are retarded. MOST cops are just out to arrest folks and get their check, and could care less about you and I.

No. And that's coming from someone who used to smoke and drive regularly when I was a stupid teenager.

When talking on a cell phone while driving, it should be mandatory to use a hands-free unit at all times when the vehicle is in motion. Changing a CD should only distract someone for a few seconds (which is bad, but not as bad as being stoned). I've yet to encounter someone who could stay focused on that many things at once while stoned -- most stoned drivers I've known were mostly focused on not attracting attention (so not swerving and not deviating from the speed limit), instead of paying attention to what other idiots on the road were doing or what dangers may lie ahead. That's not to say that all sober drivers pay attention to all those things at all times, but those lapses are when people tend to have accidents.

No, I don't agree. I don't agree with talking on a cell phone while driving, either. Or putting on make up, reading a book or basically anything else while driving.
My point is, since we don't get to decide which laws we will obey, why break them right under the noses of the police and then bitch about it?

    www.dumblaws.com These laws are retarded.

Making judgement calls is what a lot of people complain about. Cops don't get paid by commision.... I personally don't care who smokes marijuana, but moke your stuff AT HOME. Not while driving....

If you get caught breaking a law, whether you like the law or not, at least have the balls to own up that you did something stupid. Don't blame the people who are being paid to arrest you, dumb law or not.

Personally, I have found that weed doesn't impair driving skills at all, but that's all relative to the persons involved. Cops couldn't give a shit if you're driving stoned or if you have weed. They only care about the law, whether it's fair or not. The point of my previous post is that some laws are idiotic and should be amended.

I'm really having a hard time understanding any point to this...
You were doing something considered against the law, how are you not surprised you got in trouble?
And marijuana effects people differently... Just like alcohol does...This girl who I was friends with in high school had this horrible reaction from it, she was freakin out and so forth...granted that was her, but what if she would had been driving? she would have seriously crashed into someone..
Do you agree with drinking and driving? well you must since you agree with this..All different drugs and booze effect every single person differently...I mean, seriously smoke in your house, why you got to smoke pot and drive, thats the stupidest thing ever...thats just asking to get caught imo...and i dont blame the police, they did their job, hell id have busted you as well just for being stupid...
Do you not see how any of this complaining you are doing is seriously a joke...

*edit sorry thought the post was made by topnotch but realized it wasnt so this is just a free for all and not really directed at anyone...*

So if weed doesn't alter your state at all then why smoke it? HMMMMMM? Thought so. Laws can't be relative. It just wouldn't work. There's a bigger picture to look at. Not just a selfish stoner who thinks he is above it all.... You don't like the law, eh? So tell me, what have you done to help legalize weed? Run around yapping about how you hate cops? That will get you far....

I would also like to point out a generalization about police here..... do you like to be stereotyped? You must, since you do it to others.

i agree to a point but in many large city the cops are out of hand and abusing and not even going by the books. once this extreme starts we citizens must fight them in equal term "well armed".

Ya know, I've heard plenty of alcoholics say the same damn thing about alcohol... Funny how that works! I've had to lecture my dad time & time again that it doesn't matter what he thinks of the .08 blood alcohol limit (or what he thought of .1 before they changed it recently), the cops won't care if he doesn't feel impaired, he will still spend a night in jail and lose his license if he gets caught...

Having ridden with him in that state (I was sober, but he refused to hand over the keys and I had no other way of getting home 15 miles away), I can tell ya, he was sure he wasn't impaired, but I was sure he was...

i give you an idea = here the fucking cops harrasss and ticket drivers with legit car and insured while little kids and teens drive in the streets on pocket bike "miniture sport bikes not street legal" "even small dirtbikes" no lights ,horn, license plate forget rear mirros. but yet they harrasss and ticket adult drivers driving completly legal cars. i spoke to a older guy who said he got a $50.00 fine for riding his bicycle at 6 am. on the sidewalk for not having a light. im so feed up im a hair away from declaring total war on this mother fuckers.

I never said it didn't alter my mind, I said it didn't impair MY driving.

I didn't say laws are relative, I said that the effects of marijuana are relative and vary from person to person.

I never said I was "above it all", I simply said that some laws are stupid and should be changed.

I haven't done anything to help legalize weed, true, but I haven't done anything to further demonize people's opinions about weed either; such as breaking laws as a direct result of being stoned.

I never made a generalization about cops. If you will look back at my posts you will notice that I emphasized that MOST cops are bitches and those are the ones I have a problem with. The ones that are just out to arrest people based solely on the law and not on the circumstances surrounding the incident. But there are a few cops that are morally just in their actions.

You're trying to make me out to be some evil stoner guy that breaks the law for fun and hates every cop in the country, which isn't the case.
