Uhhh... I really don't think that's how it happened. I agree that whites may have come from Africa originally and then adapted to the colder, darker climates of the north, but I really don't think they were black society's rejects. Sounds like propaganda to me. Caucasian skin is white because white skin absorbs vitamin D, which is important for living in colder climates, just like a long nose is-- which is why white people generally have larger noses as well. Really, it's all evolution-- adaptation to a different environment. That said, I think if you look at the world today, out of all the races white people are probably the least racist, but only because they're the only ones who are likely to feel guilty over their racist behaviour. In fact, the whole concept of racism as bad came from white people. I know it's been said heaps of times, but think about this: Black power=good. White power=bad. Proud to be black=good. Proud to be white=bad. White people stole native's land, and native people were innocent victims who didn't have a chance, as if the native tribes had always peacefully co-existed and never once fought or hunted another tribe to extinction. Heaps of other races deny they've ever done anything wrong-- the Japanese have even written their WWII atrocities out of their history books. But white people will always agree with whatever atrocities the other races accuse them of. White children are taught in school that their ancestors were evil for doing what they did. All the other races are taught that their past was perfect and glorious until whitey came in and wrecked it all. I was watching Discovery the other day and it was talking about this tribe of 'hunters' in Africa who had lost their hunting ways to the evil ways of their rich white overlords. They said that they had been a 'warrior people', like that's a good thing! They killed people, and it's a point of pride! But when whitey does it, it's a horrible injustice against humanity. Apparently, this particular 'warrior people' weren't good enough at what they did. I mean this generally of course, because there are always exceptions, but to a very large extent white people are the first to admit when they're wrong or to speak up against racism against others, while all the other races only look out for themselves. Anyway, racism is stupid because everyone knows that people are always most comfortable with people who have the same background as they do, because that's what's familiar and that's what they understand. So a white person growing up in the projects has more in common with a black person from the projects than they do with a white person from upper middle class suburbia. In the same way, a rich asian person has more in common with a rich black person than a poor asian person.
No, they wanted whitey's help in killing their enemies, and then got upset when whitey decided he wanted to stay. I'm not saying it's a great thing that they are where they are today, but honestly, human beings are like that. I don't mind people saying that white people were in the wrong for taking their land from them-- that sucks, but then again that's life. I do get offended when people act like the Indians were innocents and their downfall was that they actually trusted white people. I really doubt that they ever trusted white people, or ever welcomed them with open arms, or ever really wanted anything to do with them. Like what-- they were all hanging out in their wigwams being taught how to act PC and be tolerant of other cultures??? In fact, they probably knew that they were going to be taken over anyway, because white people had superior technology and superior forces-- also, they were more organized. The natives just wanted to make sure that they could kill as many of their enemies as possible before it happened.
Jewish people are professional whiners!!! They go on and on about blah blah blah holocaust blah blah blah our people blah blah blah gentiles blah blah blah. The only Jewish person I could ever get along with is the one who can reject their whiny heritage first and just be a normal person. I used to have a friend who was Jewish and she was awesome to hang out with until she got into the Judaism again, and then I couldn't be her friend anymore because everything had to be about Jewish this and Jewish that... I actually took a class on Judaism in university-- the professor rarely showed up and when he did, he was at least an hour late every time. He would tell a story about his travels and then say 'read the book' and leave. To top it off, there were about ten or fifteen Jewish kids in the class who would always make a point to answer every question with 'we did this' or 'we did that' like it was all one big family that the gentiles could never understand. No, actually it's elitism, and it's offensive. I'll be friends with anyone, I don't give a shit where they came from. On the other hand, if they love talking about Jewish people and the holocaust in a really personal way all the time instead of just being a normal person, then I cease to have things in common with them.
yes, not all jews are bad obviously.though i've met plenty of jewish people and most of them were/are pompous jerks. racism is very common amongst this crowd, they even have their own derogatory word for blacks(shwarzer). but it is irritating how they think their sufferings are so much more holy and important than anyone else's. let us not forget how few dare criticise them or Israel out of fear of being labeled anti semitic. this is why they have organizations like campus watch and people like daniel pipes, to counter and intimidate college students and faculty who dare question or criticise Israel.it's also irritating how the majority of politicians who push for gun control and gun confiscation are more often than not catholics and jews. it's also hypocritical how the anti defamation league spies on people they deem to be racist or hate groups. but it's been docuemented that the ADL used to spy on anti apartheid activists and hand their names over to South Africa's apartheid era government. let's not forget how the Israel lobby are one of the biggest pro war lobbies in existence and one of the most powerful areas of special interest in washington dc. nearly all of our mideast policies are or have to be endorsed by Israel. otherwise they are not good enough. christian antsemitism is often times brought up in this day and age. while jewish antichristian sentiment is as old as the three abrahamic religions are and is rarely ever brought up in mainstream circles.but i don't see hate or mistrust disappearing anytime soon from the earth.
I moved from a city to a racist, homophobic area full of rednecks. The only people that have ever been crazy enough to come out of the closet in this area were hurt severely and had to move after it happened several more times. It hurts to know that all my friends "hate queers with a burning passion." That's a direct quote. But if I refused to be friends with homophobes I wouldn't have any friends around here....

Funny part about race is that the only reason we all look different based on skin color is from adapting to our climates throughout many thousands of years. So racism truly doesn't exist in my train-of-thought.

okay, now im not one of those people who get all angry when people are racist. because frankly, what other people beleive doesnt really concern me. only when they are in my face about it. however i would have to strongly disagree that a "race war" is coming. things are definetly not like they were 50 years ago. it is no longer taboo to date outside your race. i am a white person in a sea of black people, we all coexist. i wouldnt say peacefully, but we coexist. i live in a very violent place and the violence is almost always aimed at a member of their same race. when white people get killed its often white people killing them, and when a black person is killed it is often at the hand of another black person. not always, but often. and i see interracial couples almost as frequently as i see couples of the same race. its part of everyday life here. and i realize that in some places it isnt common to have a lot of interracial couples. but i think its because those places lack ethnic diversity. i dont think there will be a race war, in face i think we are making progress in terms of all coexisting peacefully.

African American students statistically do markedly lower on exams when first asked to mark their race. Something to ponder, for people with at least half a brain...(hint; society teaches us from an early age to associate good/beautiful/powerful/right/smart with white skin, and bad/ugly/weak/wrong/stupid with black skin. Meaning, that many of us who are not in fact racist, still hold sub concsious racist beliefs. and that some of you have been brainwashed into being complete bigots.) i think that this sort of thinking is just as ignorant as being openly racist. for instance, the society that me and my loved ones were raised in NEVER taught us to associate white skin and black skin with those things you mentioned above. i grew up in the cancer culture to which there is no cure. here everything is just the same. no matter if you are black or white here we are all equally as poor and dirty as the next person. if that makes sense. thats always been a part of my reality. however, i agree with that last part. a lot of you have been brainwashed.

Sorry Ms Oh, I don't think you understand what Im saying...Im saying that even many people who aren't racist at all (and right now I am talking about white/black relations in the US) will actually behave differently around someone of a different race. A very liberal open minded kind hearted white person may still have unconcscious thoughts and hang ups about race issues that they are not even aware of. This will be reflected in their word choice/facial expressions/body language/eye contact/tone of voice/etc..when they are interacting with someone of a different color. It is not ignorant to think about these things...It is important. It changes everything. When you consider things like affirmative action...Most corporate employers believe that they give equal oppertunity to all people regardless of age/race/creed. They also happen to mostly be white males, and over 6 ft tall...Cooinidence?? anyway, moving on...Even if they aren't racist, which most are not, if they display their unconscious discomfort with say, a black person, the interview will most likely not go as smoothly as it would with a white person. I know it isn't easy to look at things this way, but it certainly isn't ignorant to think that mainstream society pushes messages on us our entire lives that get into our brains and we aren't even aware of them most of the time. In the movies, how often do you see an african american protagonist who is smart, kind, and well liked?? Sure there are some examples. How much more often do you see a gang banging, alcoholic, uneducated thug?? These negative sterotypes do effect peoples beliefs, and they certainly effect how many black children grow up thinking about themselves. Most of us wouldn't admit in a million years that we held any prejudice whatsoever...but the truth is, most of us do. If we refuse to adress our unconscious beliefs and stereotyping, then we are in fact supporting institutionalized racism. Please go take the Harvard race test that I posted, and see if anything strikes you as odd...
If somone tells you there not a racist, it dosn't neccarily mean they're not a racist. If someone tells you they're going to heaven, it dosn't mean they're going to heaven. To clarify my mess of a post up there, I mean to say there are people as whats happening23 refer to as "not racist at all" that can't be around black people at all and would likely choose not to be. (as you stated right in your post wh23) How does this make sense to you. YOu don't have to be John fukkkin wayne to be a racist and that what you seem to associalte racists to.
