Xac, i think you should try to talk to lode about this. if i remember right, he did institutionalize himself (ora t hte least was considering it) within the last year or so, so he has experience with a somewhat similar situation

im not a expert because of what happened to my partner my friend.. once again you assume because someone has overcome that they couldnt have had a life as bad as yours.. you assume wrong..

i dont feel compelled to air my dirty laundry here just to convince you i know what im talking about though.. because as i said,im sure you would just discount it in some shape form or fashion..

we all have our problems, regardless of how we seem, or if we havent gone through serious trauma... no person is perfect, we all have our struggles. if they get overwhelming, its good to seek advice... lode at least has something resembling relevant experience.

I get it, because i said that i dont believe everyone has suffered depression you think that i dismiss everything bad that happens to anyone but myself. I understand you dont think much of me, thats fine.

Look- if it's understanding you're looking for, bear in mind that these forums are no more effective in perpetuating empathy than they are in furnishing constructive means of dealing with things. I find it a twist of irony that you respond with acid sarcasm what you would suppose I'm looking to hear from you when apparently you're growing frustrated in reading responses that you do not want to hear from us.

As a side note, I'm sure that the incident netted you all manner of emotional windfall as the adults around who were aware of the incident didn't have the heart to be really tough with you. This is entirely conjecture- leaving open the distinct possibility that I'm wrong but most people wouldn't be seeking emotional indulgence after 17 years if it hadn't consistently worked in the past.

 

xac, you have been discounting a lot of peoples comments to this thread. i thought it was mean to say that what dona said wasnt true. noone has suggested what has happened to you is a lie so i wouldn't be so quick to claim someone else is lying when they talk about problems they have faced.

 

Yeah except if i was trying to tip a depressed person over the edge i would've written word for word the two posts that came before that one. If they were being honest, well i have misjudged but to me it seems like they are just trying to get a rise, but ill let that poster let me know if i am wrong because seriously... i doubt it.

 

Im just trying to explain to those who keep telling me i need sunshine, i guess i should just give up and accept the advice. I just thought people may be curious why that advice doesnt do any good.

Truth is i actually talk about this shit a lot more on the net then i do in real life, not that i havent mentioned it in person to any one before.

I guess when i made this thread, i didnt have any expectations or desires, i just put it out there and here we are. Im not sure what you think peoples priceless advice is going to do for me at 3:00 am while im drunk off my ass.

Yeah i know RT is brutal, im not afraid of that, being depressed i am just as happing being self induldged bitching about my problem as i am at having a random net fight with a random person. both a waste of time and both theraputic.
