yeah its already getting bad and we are just now starting the REAL downturn.. hopefully the worst of winter will be over before the "terrorist" attack and the crash come.. otherwise a lot of folks are going to freeze to death needlessly..
i tell you what though, there are some fucked up rumors(unconfirmed reports) floating around that lead me to believe that may not be the case..

Its funny to see how people react to a possible situation. A person has presented a possible idea of how things might go and simply present the idea to allow those who desire to prepare. They are not selling land, or supplies or anything else to market from this information just doing what they feel they need to do. They feel compelled to inform you that they believe you might want to brace for an event. Now its up to the reader to decide if they care to do so or not but in the end did it harm anything to prepare?? Is there something wrong with wanting to know you could last more than a paycheck away from something bad? Is it bad that a person believes that they might be able to make a difference if what they believe will happen does??

I dont think for a moment HHB is doing anything more than offering his opinion and advice. He does not charge for it, does not demand you accept it, does not force you to react with it nor does he want anything to happen.

I believe he is doing nothing more than passing on his thoughts to what he has noticed in trends and wishes others to know so they too can make thier own decisions as to what to to, be it nothing or something.

I've heard a thing or two myself.... like the meltdown being by design from overseas banks essentially staging a hostile takeover of the U.S. economy and seizing economic and subsequently political control of world affairs. There may well not be any government here to help if they wanted to after the looting is done. It's the mother of all bank robberies and it's happening right under our noses- and the U.S. treasury is an unwitting participant handing out trillions of bailout bucks to hands outstretched from abroad who are now saying it's none of our business what they're doing with the money.

A late night radio show (AM Coast to Coast). They were talking to an economist who had predicted exactly what is now unfolding. He said the housing bubble was created and deliberately broken by entities seeking to cause chaos for which they will have a ready answer. Our government certainly didn't care for the homeowner but they are getting beaten at their own game by people better at playing it.

You have to love to logic to allow those needing a place to live to loose that because of lack of jobs and forclosure but you are willing to give assistance to those who will be lending money to people if they had jobs for homes that are not being built because there are not enough jobs to support people to get loans for homes thus forcing more people to be homeless, homes to sit empty, projects to not be finished and only seems to secure the rich with money to use until this passes.

What the hell do you want from us? Jesus

I'm sorry i'm joining in with the others Xac but there is lessons to be learned here. I really don't care what anyone else thinks of me and this post at least, has nothing to do with proving anything to anyone or myself or to you.

You're right, I can't be objective. That was arrogant of me, but your depression still "appears" to be dictating your behaviour and your judgement of others, and thats when you have a real problem.

God damnit, what the hell is wrong with having an opinion man? If your problem is so fucking sacred that our subjective views aren't allowed to taint it then why post it in a public forum?

Again, I say this mostly to benefit you, with perhaps a little tinge of wanting to defend my honour, i will be honest.

Yep... the whole bailout is bait and switch... scare tactics to make us feel that we have no choice; promising relief for taxpayers then after it's signed, change the rules and allow banks to either sit in the cash or consolidate by buying healthy smaller banks. The $700 billion is the tip of a larger bailout ($5 trillion I believe), much of which has found its way into a few foreign banks looking to perpetuate complete economic destruction via hyper inflation once the treasury decides that it needs to print alot more money because the meltdown isn't reversing. It is as surely warfare as if the foreign banks had flown bombers over us and destroyed our infrastructure- it's just more sophisticated and enlists our government in the attack- willingly or not.

    P.S.
I wouldnt expect anyone to snap out of depression because of a few damned paragraphs i wrote on the internet, i hope people realize thats not how real depression works...

Everyone in this thread is basically saying 'get over it. everyone has a raw deal and depression'. But, didn't all of you take time to figure out how to deal with it?
HHB-You dealt with it with an alcohol addiction and congrats on batteling it. But, didn't it take you time to learn you needed to stop and that you were being destructive?
Stinkfoot-I am guessing you work out to avoid depression/anxiety, but how long did it take you to build that skill and find a healthy outlet.
I am just saying while none of us really have 'it' figured out we have gone through some experiences, vices and destructive moments and nothing bu time and learning how to control ourselves lead to our healing.
Here is a person who's not there yet. Hasn't had as much time in life as you. Why not share what helped you instead of switching into critical parent mode, thus forcing Xac to feel like even mroe of a hurt child?
