Who says you have to convert? If you like it, believe it. You don't need to conform to anything. Believe in what you want and live how you think is right. Saying you're this or that is just a label by which other people can judge you. Your faith should be private until you're willing to share it with someone.
If you believe there is no God but Allah and that Mohamed is his messenger. Than you should say the Shahada and let God work on you. (( Look me I haven't even been a muslim for 2 days and I'm already giving advice)) For what it might be worth. There's a lot of stuff I haven't figure out yet. (like nudism) All I know for certain is there's only Allah and being aware of that is more than enough.
Do I dare ask how you know that there is a god and that muhammad was his messenger? Also, how do you know that god was/is a dude?
I could quote scriptures and give emotional and/or logical arguments. But when it comes to things like God, you need to come to it on your own. Or if you will, God needs to bring you towards him. As for knowing God is a dude... Well whatever God is... It is something that has to be so great and far beyond our understanding that we can comprehend, describe or explain it. Anything less than that and it's no longer God. I was an atheist and bloody right proper bitch about it too. Things just kind of crept up on me. I went from free spirited hippie nudist to putting on a hijab and converting to Islam just over 24 hours ago. To be honest I'm still trying to figure out what happened. It would a damn site easier if someone could just point to something and say 'that's God.'
Huh. Pretty amazing, actually. I personally could/can never get behind a set way of thinking about being an adherant to humans ideas of existance. To each their own. Well, unless you run into some radical type adherants that INSIST you get behind their way of looking at existance or-BAM. Out 'ya go. But good luck with it.
Ultimately as in the case of pretty much everything else in life. It all comes down to a degree of faith. I'll be blunt if someone had told me 3 days ago that I would convert to Islam and be wearing a hijab before the end of the week... I would have laughed at them. But here I am now.. a muslim
I find ALL religions to be just basically bullshit! Sorry, just the facts. Man made garbage to control females and to ensure that those in power HAVE power over the masses, not to mention free flowing funds from the sheeple..... That is all....:-/
a lot could be said about science too.. the money spent on the The Apollo program.. Apollo spacecraft: $7,945.0 million Saturn I launch vehicles: $767.1 million Saturn IB launch vehicles: $1,131.2 million Saturn V launch vehicles: $6,871.1 million Launch vehicle engine development: $854.2 million Mission support: $1,432.3 million Tracking and data acquisition: $664.1 million Ground facilities: $1,830.3 million Operation of installations: $2,420.6 million. Who is more foolish? Those that believe in the invisible man, or those that believe a man lives on the moon? The final cost of project Apollo was reported to Congress as $25.4 billion in 1973...
If you ask me women are still being controled. Just because a woman can wear a mini skirt doesn't make her liberated. In fact now that I'm wearing a hijab I'm being attacked for not dressing provocatively. I'll also wager you a step further. We're all being controled by the modern media, the education system and the market.
