    this is false.

equality has been used lately (as in, the past 2-300 years) to imply that all people, or all people of a certain group as is usually the case, are worthy of the same legal rights as everyone else.

in secular, nonphilosophical reality, in its literal sense, equality means that one thing is the same as the other. in this sense, people are NOT created equal. perhaps they are created equal in the eyes of (the) god/s, perhaps in the eyes of the legal system everyone is (or should be) created equal. but in the real world, some people are born with greater mental faculties than others, some with better looks, some with more privileges, some with more money, some with better luck, some with nothing at all. some have it all and lose it through luck or through mistakes. some never had it to begin with. but outside of law and theology/philosophy, people are NOT all created equal, and even if they were it would foolish assume it is only through personal mistakes that inequality arises.

i don't think he doubts your intelligence due to age, and i think you are projecting to be honest.

i think he rather doubts your experience, education, and/or insight due to your age, all of which are reasonable, even if it seems unfair at your age.

    hell yes.

I doubt it because you lack experience, I doubt it because your prefrontal cortex isn't all the way there yet, I doubt it because

YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT CALCULUS DOES YET

I doubt it because you probably think voltaire has something to do with electricity, and that candide is a typo

I doubt it because all fourteen year olds think they know something, and none of them do.

I doubt your intelligence because I am freakishly smart, and I was a complete idiot when I was fourteen, and I am still a frakking idiot (and when I say freakishly smart, I really do mean it. like, the scary kind)

so, please child, do not even pretend to believe you are debating me, because, you are not, you have a VERY limited frame of reference to play with here.

nope, I doubt his intelligence due to his age, and other factors.

if I had a time machine, and had a few trips back, first thing I would do is kick the living shit out of the 13 year old version of me, because I REALLY deserved it.

    Incorrect...

We are all created unequal. Life is the ultimate uneven playing field and the sooner one learns to accept this premise and work WITH it instead of wasting energy trying to right every trivial little unfairness then the better off they will be.

I do now after that question. Intelligence is the capacity to learn, not necessarily what you know. But it's so ironic you would post this in a thread titled "Ignorance" because you will find years from now that at your age, you are unfathomably ignorant. There's nothing wrong with it, ignorance is the lack of knowledge, not the lack of the ability to learn. At fourteen, seeing as you have the luxury of the ability to get online, you probably haven't seen half the things you're going to see in your life or learned even a small portion of what there is to know. It's just a fact of life.

I don't care what people are or do so long as they aren't in my space uninvited.
