17 isnt old enough to judge. Your brain isnt fully develeoped until you're in your mid twenties! So shuddup, we're all doing major harm to our growing here.

I'm not here to get in a pissing contest, but I started smoking at 13-14 yrs old. I've experamented with tons of drugs a to z through my teenage years. I fucked up, got in trouble when I was 17 for theft. I then quite school & went to rehab. Now I'm partners in a heavy equipment business which has brought much respect & money for my family.. I still smoke everyday & all day:) . I also take some meds.My point is I was smoking when I was under 16, and was still able to be a owner of a $700,000 a year company at the age of 20. It took me 8 years to build my sales & customers, but weed just helped me focus better & make better profits.Put down the pipe if you want, I wouldn't;) . Just plan your future early & stick with it.

twizz i understand that many people under the age of 16 ARE immature and irresponsible, but to label a whole age group is wrong. yes fair enough your average 16 year old IS more mature than your average 14 year old. i know plenty of irresponsible 14-15 year olds, however i also know 14-15 year olds that are more mature than your average adult. i am 14 and i'm sensible and responsible enough to admit that it would be ignorant to say "i am mature". like you said maturity comes with experience and i haven't experienced living independantly yet (as well as many other things). however i'm intelligent (academically) and have a great understanding of the moral/social/dealing with situations side of life which make a person mature.

you cannot measure responsibility by age, i have a group of friends who are 17-18 and i am more mature than all of them, that isn't being ignorant, and its ignorant of you to say that im not as mature as them because you don't know me or my friends. they are quite simply idiots who know nothing about life and responsiblity. i am not going to be stupid and say i'm more mature than you twizz, because i dont know you, but i would love to be given the chance to show you that a 14 year old can be cleverer that certain 17 year old individuals [IMG].

i'm not normally this serious but this thread annoyed me, i don't like to be called immature when i, along with quite a few of my friends actually put many older people to shame when it comes to being mature. as for the smart comment "stick with school until your balls have dropped", my balls dropped when i was 11 [IMG].

i'm not trying to start a fight, just sticking up for me and other mature people my age. peace

I didn't bother reading all the replies to this post, so hopefully i'm not bringing up a dead battle<3

Common sense and maturity isn't solely based on age, some people can develop mentally and physically faster than others, and vice versa, for example; i'm 16 and six foot three, obviously I developed faster physically than alot of people my age, and I know people who are 15 or younger who are as developed both mentally and physically. But the fact of the matter is that you, at 17, seem to be trying to establish superiority by generalizing all people under the age of 16 as inferior to you, whereas smoking any substance would go against the common sense that smoke is bad for your lungs in the first place.

You're 17, and you seem to have made a stupid post where you are, as you claimed you weren't, "popping some fake stats out of your ass" by assuming that anyone under the age of 16 has no common sense.

    And considering how it seems the majority of people who replied to this post have gone against you, I have to say;
    Circle gets the Square.

Ps: Women don't have balls that drop.

I'm actually not sure why someone that young would even seek out marijuana. Life can be approached however one sees fit, but the simple truth of obligations that arise immediately following the inception of adulthood is as real as it is a benchmark; the youthful behavior that is allowed - and almost expected - from individuals 16 and younger goes far beyond what marijuana can offer them.

There's obviously a lot more to be said about this idea, but what I'm more concerned about is the basis of it: kids should avoid marijuana not because it will ruin their brain chemistry or turn them into a burnout, but because the unique freedoms granted to individuals of that age afford much more to them to the point where it trumps what marijuana - an impediment in this case - could ever offer.

I think it is immature and iggnorant how your telling everyone under the age of 16 that they are stupid . I mean, yes, everyone has their own view on things, but unless your Jesus Christ or something, your no better than anyone else.

like thc stands for (tetra hydro cannabinol) and we all have cb2 receptor in are brains like dogs and over animals. and when you eat it the there are 3 levels on cannabis level 8 when smoken - (not pure cannabis) level 9 ( bure cannabis) and level 11 when eaten but takes about 1 hour to hit you properly

Theres plenty of cannabis RELATED deaths... I knew a kid who was smoking a joint while driving and dropped the joint down by his feet.. he went to pick it up and crashed into a telephone pole and killed himself.

Also Sativex.. an experimental cannabis based inhaler killed some lady who was trying it the other day: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8122-1922744,00.html

And your not exactly correct regarding the cannabinoid receptors.. mammals have two types of cannabinoid receptors.. CB1 and CB2 and it is speculated that there maybe a CBn but it has not been discovered yet. This has nothing to do with eating it and I dont know what you mean by different deltas.. If you are talking about different synthesized THC analogues.. there are hundreds of them and it is said that some are up to 512x more potent than natural THC. Also other cannabinoid receptor agonists are anandamide, CBN and CBD. The only other thing I think you could be talking about is some of the various active tetrahydrocannabinols in herb which are basically just other active chemicals.. I dunno though.

Bruce Lee didn't die from cannabis, it was a reaction to headache medicine. The official cause was cerebral edema, caused by the reaction.

Cannabis alone has not caused any deaths.
