I'm in one of the places in Georgia. I'm on the southeast coast living in Georgia's Golden Isles. I'm just 45 minutes from Jacksonville, Florida and this area, Glynn & Camden are a lot more cosmopolitan than the rest of South Georgia. That's a little bit of an arts culture here, the regional food is fantastic if you like spices and shrimp. It's beautiful here with a huge emphasis on protecting the numerous Live Oaks that are drapped in spanish moss. Southeast Georgia a well kept secret indeed. The weather is great, especially this time of year. Highs in the 70s all winter is typical. But be warned, it gets horribly hot and humid here July - September. it gets very buggy too.

I honestly prefer Athens over Atlanta, but both places are amazing. I live in Loganville which is between both cities, but Loganville is horrible. I'm almost certain I'm the only non-conservative in Walton Co, outside of like 5 of my friends. If you're really into the outdoors then Dahlonega, Elijay, Hiawassee, and Helen are all nice places, but there are a lot of conservatives out there... if you hear banjos paddle faster.

Blue Ridge and Cave Spring have something to offer people who are creative and want a town with a slower pace. Hiawassee has a real cool Mountain Fiddler's convention. If you hear fiddles, come closer!
