    Excuse me?

People contribute to the unification of a country by many channels. One doesn't have to be a warrior. And one should certainly decide for one's self if the cause is just or not. To take up arms just because you've been told to is the path of the fool.

If you decide that piece on ground under you is worth your life, by all means fight for it.

I personally place my life above a piece of ground.

Let's not disrupt your life. Let's let criminals fight the wars corporations dream up to gain power and money.

Germany and the Third Reich are certainly a model we should seek to emulate....really?

Blackwater already hires these people and the taxpayers foot the bill. Hell why send wealthy young putzes to fight through a draft when we can hire a security firm that answers only to the corporate bosses?

I would rather be killed than kill someone else for the sake of a "country".

Exactly. What is a country...the USA certainly isn't that interested in the good of it's citizens. Why waste your own life or those of children for an organization that only sees you as a workforce, or expendable resource. I am sure they have tables and marketing data that shows that you are merely a consumable resource in the corporate run for power and money.

We are sending our children to die, we've had to suck in our belts to handle increased gas at the pump and utilities in our homes, but who's protecting us from feeding our kids and pets toys and food laced with lead or chemicals that kill. And no one apologizes, they just tell us to keep spending.

We are supposed to focus on global warming, not that fact the more of our kids are autistic.

Yes, all you are is a statistic and your entire purpose in this existence is to generate profit.

Not the best thing to die for. I would rather just sit back and watch the fireworks with a glass of wine.

There are many that can afford that glass of wine, there are some that can't.

You can always just borrow a bottle from your local chain grocery store.

Honest people are struggling to pay utilities and buy gas to get to work. Are you proposing we steal?

I personally do not steal because I do not feel the need to own much.

Yet, I do not see how stealing from a large multinational corporation such as Walmart could be wrong.

What an idiotic statement. What you're implying is that governments always have the people's best interests in mind, and that if people are sent off to war, it must be for a good reason.

The middle east is probably the biggest money-laundering operation in history. In service to that end they are destroying the military, the schools, the judiciary, the middle class, the constitution--this very country.Sleep on.

You got that part right about the oil interests, in that they seek to stem the flow in order to artificially drive prices up. Oil production has yet to even surpass sanction era levels, much less start to finance the occupation as the contemptuous traitors in Washington assured the sheeple.

Im sure the rich Saudi and other Arab oil sheikhdoms are happy to see the prices be manipulated in their favor, why do you think OPEC has not protested or economically boycotted the ""Coalition"" nations?

Yeah you can say that to the firing squad....

If people didn't fight for this country you wouldn't have a life to value.

Terrorism is the future of warfare. Small groups of individuals with an agenda. And not all are from the same country.Striking where you least expect it.It' been proven to work.

Funny, I remember our constitution saying something about foreign & domestic enemies. "to protect my country against all enemies foreign and domestic". Pressed_Rat, you are without question a stupid coward.

Perhaps the real question then is exactly WHO is really the enemy? Because you see, many people feel that OUR GOVERNMENT is the enemy. That's DOMESTIC. I don't support war, or terrorism, or ANYONE, no matter who or what country they are from or in, who is WRONG. I don't make a distinction based on borders or nationality. The "bad guys" are ANYBODY who is acting like a BAD GUY, not just some faceless folks from some other country.

Logic would say so, but nature seldom uses logic.

As you will recall, "this" country was taken from the red man at gunpoint, decimating a people and a culture in the process. The "wealth" in the early days was largely a product of slave labor, from black people who were treated as property. In the west, the Chinese miners were treated even worse than black people.

What exactly about this country are you defending, our sorrid past or our imperialist present day? We've outdone ourselves to insure our own demise. We've made the enemies we have. Willingly so.

Face facts. In spite of what you've been told about Uncle Sam, Uncle Sam is not unlike a mafia godfather. He plays hardball, but never raises his voice. Can't draw attention to himself, you know. He has his spies everywhere.

Not to protect his citizens, but to protect himself.
