Yahhh, he did go a little to far.

But the media portrayed this in a one sided fashion. He was also called cracker I believe and other derogatory white terms. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Everyone involved should have shut the hell up a lot sooner.

some jokes HAVE to go too far, or they can't become funny, sort of like, if your kid asks you "you wish I'd never been born" the only funny response is

"you bet your ass, do you know how much more walking around money I'd have?"

it sounds horrible and evil out of context, and it takes it too far, but, under the right circumstances, it can be funny.

there is a long tradition of comics shouting down hecklers, and usually it becomes problematic at some point.
