    Since I am in California, I am going to say, Yosemite, explore all of the beaches up Highway 1, starting in San Diego and just head north. Special stops would be Venice, and Santa Cruz (very entertaining), Hollywood, and San Francisco

    In Canada I would suggest driving (or cycling, if that's your thing) the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia (east coast). Very beautiful.

    Driving through the rockies and smoking BC Bud is fucking phenomenal!

    but since I live in Quebec, I say it doesn't matter where you go, but just come during autumn and get a poutine at au pied de couchon and look at leaves, then come during winter and go to a sugar shack that has saunas and holes cut in frozen lakes.
