Calling yourself a diplomat for being able to speak to a friend is pointless...

Being able to communicate with an enemy and come to a mutually satisfying (or mutually unsatisfying) compromise is what diplomacy is all about....

Odon never actually called himself a diplomat. I was the one who suggested it. And I used the term Judge or mediator.

 

But he accepted it and chose to describe what he thought of as a difficult situation for a diplomat to be in as an excuse.
