I have been contemplating some of the posts that I have read on your thread. If you want to take your computer and phone, do it. If you love games and nature, cool. Seek not to define as much as to discover your self. What ever that may be, it is perfect. It is you. It is more important for you to accept and love your self that to be accepted by others. Your happiness lies within.

I just want to add a little note to this forum.......if you travel with a gun and decide to cross over to Canada you won't have to worry about lodging or meals ..the border service will provide that for you awaiting your extradition.........lol.....and as far as being gay ...well next time ask them to show you in the bible where heterosexuals will be smitten by god for producing homosexuals and lesbians.

If you can, follow a river, that way you are always close to food (Fish) and water. You might get sick of fish after a while, but it beats getting lost without food. Have fun, good luck, and take lots of pictures (You can still buy 35mm disposable cameras in most drug stores, and most still develop them!)

i'd skip the 35 mm cameras and go straight to digital....I have a Fuji camera with a 16 gig memory card ..I have about a 100 picutres on it and still good for 4000.......with digital you know instantly if you took a god shot ..no guesswork and any film processing place can do it ;;;;;;yourself to if you have a printer

If you have a college degree you could easily teach English in China.

A lot of opportunity to travel from there..... Just a hop skip and a jump to Japan, the South Pacific, India, Nepal, Tibet...ect.

Taking a gun with you for defence is not a good idea. Unless you have been trained to use it, you will probably end up having it taken away from you and maybe even used against you. If you are planning on really getting away from it all and will be going deep into the woods or mountains, then you should have a rifle in case you run into a bear or other dangerous animal.
A good sleeping bag is also very important. The temperature can really drop at night in some areas and staying warm will save your life.
Leave all your electronics behind. The whole idea behind such an experience should be to not be plugged into our modern world. You will be surprised at all the thinking you will do without a cell phone and computer to distract you.
