woodstock, honnestly i wont own a radio &havent in hmm 12 years or more, music should be about the enjoyment of the songs.. not aboiut fame & fortune listen tothose ones i sent youthat have way more talent then the "idols" but will never accept a cent for that amazing mudsic..but the evil mtv & vh1 &that whole rockidol culture dictates what should be good music to u by whats played most often

Slash Is a dick head !! He wants all his solos to be as memorable as stairway to heaven he is not humble like the real gods of rock, he forces the image of a drunken junkie too much.... i hate him especially after watching the Tribute to Queen DVD where he smokes a cigarett while he playes... he sucks !!!!

Well it could just be he wants to be good, he was a junkie, he literally died once, and he always smokes cigarettes when playing, so did Keith Rchards, who was basically the same thing.

i talked to 2 separate people at my NA meeting tonight who wanted to be "Rock Stars." they loved playing music, and still do.... but they got caught up in partying, drugs, and all together self destructive behavior. they both kept journals of all the shit that happened to them during the time they where doing all this self destructive shit. the journals where so when "vh1" or what ever went back to look at there life they could tell all the crazy shit that went on.... they partied so hard and where so strung out that they lost their families, any true friends, their health, their happiness, they lost the ability to think rationally, the ability to get jobs, the ability to play good music, and one of them lost his freedom(jail).... but now that they are sober they realize that its not about "vh1" its not about partying or drugs its about the music, and most importantly their health, REAL happiness, and there freedom. now, they look back, and read there journals and realize how stupid and immature they where!

now i know your not a using addict, and i hope you never become one, but trust me, you become an addict LONG before your first drug experience. addiction is a disease! its not your fault you feel this way, but i don't want you to give in.

id be happy to talk to these 2 dudes in my NA classes for you if you'd like. i know i didn't give there stories justice, but the way they told them to me really moved me, and i hope it could do the same for you.

Hear the Advice of Willy Wonk our young Ancestor... He live there in this Hut behind the Totem of our Gods of the Elements...

Well i m jokin... i m probably the only one jokin right now :( but well
I understand Willy point of vue ...
But we can party often without playin with the edge of our health...

Just dancin just before you reach the borderline...not too often... and be back again in the "respectable" life of the honnest citizen...

But young fresh people often lack of experience to do that... they risks to crash counter the wall ...(with innocent wings) at the speed of sound:confused:

Don't leave your home town until you find a way to be happy there. It's not the town, it's you. You need to take the next year or two and let yourself grow up. Eventually you will make a couple of new friends and find a little happiness. If you can't find a little happiness there, you'll not find it anywhere. It's not the place but the person.
Almost all of us went through the same things / feelings that you are going through now. You are not the minority, rather the majority. You have to suck it up like the rest of did or you will pay a much higher price. You think life sucks now? Just wait.
All of these nice people have gone out of their way to give you the attention and respect that you deserve. Now it's your turn. Give us the respect that we deserve as your friends. SUCK IT UP!
I can't help but ask the question that you avoided answering before. Can you even play the guitar?

My life at 15 blew ass too, your not the only one who's been dragged through the mire by ther parents, you have my fullest sympathy BUT if you run away you may not get the chance to live at all. 'Out there' is a dangerous place and no fifteen year old is equipped mentally to deal with that. Try to go with the flow at least untill the law sees you as an adult. Lot's of people here go to college or Universiy simply to comply with their parents wishes and to tread water untill something more to their liking crops up. I tried this but unfortunatly I was on the road to a nervous breakdown, largely because of my parents and could'nt handle it at all.

Don't believe that you are alone, making friends or contacting groups for support could be the better way forward.

i'm so proud of my family for all the good advice being offered(and ignored) by little sis.

San Francisco is near hell for someone on the streets, too many junkies w/o any soul left.

Marching band is what got me through high school, the occasional trips to perform at competitions is the closest i saw to freedom as a kid and i still cherish that. Dying a junkie just makes one dead and easily forgotten. You should try joining the bands at school, work on your talent and stick with your situation as long as possible. As someone else said, noone decent will go travelling with a young runaway, only sleazeballs are usually willing to do that because it could end them up in jail for years.

Little sister, I can say, I was once in your shoes. And you are only 15, the world is a big scary place. I know. I ran away when I was 15, and it wasnt what i thought it was. I was lucky to have found family, eventually, to help me grow in a positive path. But as I look back now, knowing what I know now, I wish I would have stayed to finish school, and finish growing. But when you make that decisision to run, and you're out on a highway, scared, and not knowing what you're gonna do, what you want to do, and how you're going to do it. I must admit, I did grow up very fast, and I learned alot of things. But its hard being 15 and on the road, you have to grow up, and learn to be dependant on yourself very fast. Im 19 now, been living in the woods a few years now, and thats all I know, because I never finished school. But luckily, my mother was one to welcome me back home with open arms, as long as I do something positive for myself. So Im going back to school, for something I love, massage. And things will be easier for me when I decide to hit the road again. Take my advice into concideration. If you think you are definatly better off doing something else, plan ahead. Get urself a skill in something, so that when you do decide to go off, you are prepared for anything that hits ur fan. Because nomatter how easy it is, you cant keep flying a sign and spanging forever. Believe me, I know.

Try workin at a local renaissance festival, its like woodstock/haight-ashburry without the drugs. Or school news paper? editorials? I'm on the newspaper, it's cool. I have completely different views from my parents but I'm just biding my time, I guess you could say, waiting for the parental bars to spread just far enough apart that I can squeeze through to the other side, independence.

sams got some great right here right now words!
look for the (I can't believe I'm saying this) SCA in the area. the bloody pests are everywhre and they are GREAT for obsessing people interested in how societies work. they are historical re-enactors who party a lot doing it.
I don't recall a renfaire near ElP, but they do pop up constantly.
(And frankly really working would be better than being in SCA).
I'd look it up, but I have better things to do with my time than research for insolent little brats who don't appreciate the almost 100 pieces of advice that have been given of people's hearts.

Hei, WoodstockChild. I saw you, in your gallery. You're a wonderful girl.
I'm an Hippie like you. Sister, let's try LSD. If you take a bit of LSD, you'll see fantastic things. You'll do a acid trip and you can see what Hippies saw.

Do you know Topanga? It's in California. It's an Hippie-City. Search information about it.

Did you listen to me? DON'T KILL YOU!
If you want to do it, you can. I'm sure.

How can I help you? In this world the people should be happy.
I'll do whatever you want to help you.
