I guess it depends on your definition of an "older" person.

i think it was explained to me that it goes down as you age. but i'm mostly thinking about senior citizen age; like i remember my grandparents all slept like 5 hours a night.

Maybe that means I will never be a senior citizen...

It happens to me all the time, I still have a fresh face even if I'm about to hit 33. The most hilarious is one time I was with my younger sister, she bought beer while I had some lottery. I got carded by the cashier but when my sis was about to get her ID's out of her wallet he said to her "no need to Ma'am, you obviously have legal age". [IMG]

I felt old the time I was at a rave party and chatting casually with some young cool cats. When I mentioned that I attended my first event in 1996 they all looked at each other then at me with that puzzled look on their faces, until one of them broke the silence to say, sounding almost embarassed, "I was born in 1996". :yikes:

I can't tell when I started to feel more "adult", it came to me bit by bit. It's in my change of priorities, in the new way I handle shit life throws my way, in my willingness to take more and bigger responsabilities, in my lack of interest about futile, superficial distractions I used to enjoy and my new interests in things I thought I was too young for yet back in the days. It's not about getting old, bitter or boring but about being more mature. I know and assume myself in a way I didn't when I was younger, which is good cause that makes me more grounded and confident about myself and my choices.

Not sure about the adult thing but the older thing occurred to me when I realized my current drug of choice is Ibuprofin.

I also get that "getting old" feeling when I mention ecstasy and not MDMA. I sooooo betray myself and my age when I do that. :p

I was invited to a Halloween party and I'm thinking about not going because I know ill be useless the next day. Considering a hangover before drinking makes me feel pretty old.

congrats dude! Kids have a way of aging you 10 years overnight but they also make things you've long grown too cynical to enjoy enjoyable again.

I drank my first alcohol in about 7 months last night, which was about 4 shots of vodka. It reminded me of how much I like alcohol, but at the same time how much I don't like its adverse effect on my sleep. It's definitely something I am going to keep to a rare occasion.

Why did you go for some wodka last night, Rat? Had a craving of some sorts? Taste or effect? Did you have a little toke with it (I would, but then again I'd rather skip the wodka then... if I'm on my own at least)? :cheers2: I have to say though, wodka has mostly a positive effect on my sleep!

Love, love love raves---or used to. Were my thing from 1998 to about 2004 with occasional ones until 2010. ANYWAYS. I can't THINK about raves now without thinking...God THAT'S a good way to feel old as shit real fast. Shame really.

When it comes to politics, I often vote with my paycheck in mind.

I drive a Dodge Journey crossover. This definitely makes me feel old.

    Contributing to my 401K.
