what are you talking about frieden? everyone knows its "cool" to steal when you have money to pay for it... how else do you up your "street cred"?!
i feel bad about stealing it. it would be difficult to give it back, and i don't necessarily want to since 1) it's a tiny bead 2) it was overpriced. at the same time, i DO feel bad about paying nothing at all. money is tight right now because i am traveling. i could eat for a week on $36. kapeesh? and write a check? give them my name and address? great plan.
Take it back. I would cry if someone stole something I made. It would make me lose faith in humans even more. When people steal other things of mine, I don't care that much (I worked with teens, so I've had a lot stolen), but handmade stuff is different. Just go give it back and restore her faith in humanity.
You don't know how much she paid for supplies and materials though. You don't know how long it took her to source her materials or price them or any of that. If it's too expensive, don't buy it! But, it doesn't give you the right to swipe it. What does Dean think about it?
If you weren't willing and or able to pay for it, supplement it with something that you are willing and or able to pay for. Kapeesh? On the same note, I'm sure you could eat on $36. I probably could too....if I were eating cheap food. So let me reiterate what I just said before: If you're willing and able to eat cheap food, you probably shouldn't be above buying cheap beads. Just saying...
i would have stolen it too if it cost 36 bucks thats two cases of beer and a bottle of cheap wine fuck beads
That is an awesome idea. I vote for that Zilla, but of course it's up to you. Let us know what you decided to do .
Der. She already has already fulfilled her obligation to her guilty conscious by saying she felt bad by it. She wont return it, and she aint losing any sleep over it. I didn't realize spoiled little girls were soooo into street cred. You learn something new every day, at least that's how the story goes.
It made my stomache turn when she said she stole something handmade from the store owner ):. That's just so sad to me. I went through about a year period where I would steal clothes, stuff I didn't need, mostly tank tops. I would buy way more expensive stuff than what I stole and did it for the thrill. Finally I just felt stupid stealing and stopped. Maybe she'll grow out of it too?
Hopefully. I know my grandma, who works really hard and puts a lot of money into her staind glass, has had quite a bit stolen. Just aint cool.
That sucks ): and is sad. You put your heart into handmade stuff too. Stained glass sounds like a fun art.
I tried to learn. She even offered to give me all her equipment. She wants to get out of it, because of her bad arthritis, but she wants somebody in the fam to "continue her legacy." I just fail at it bad.
Do you have any relatives that can take over? I get hand cramps from sewing when I fill larger orders, and I haven't even been doing it that long. I can imagine how bad it gets when you're older.
Ah...To believe it was Fate that the Bead fell into your Hands... Everything Happens for a Reason... It's Not the End of the World...What's Done is Done... If you Didn't want it you Wouldn't have Stolen it...No? You Wanted it and Now you Have it...
i might do that if i weren't 500 miles from where i got it. the lady working the store was not the person who made the bead. the people who make these beads make them in large quantities, but not on a mass-produced scale. it was an over-priced, touristy kind of store. Frieden: I can eat good food on $36 bucks a week as long as I'm not eating in restaurants i'm neither spoiled nor a little girl. you really don't know me. go insult someone else to make yourself feel better.
