    Yeah, somehow I don't think it's something I'll be doing again. It was a pretty fucked up thing to do.

    I guess what I'M wondering... it's good and all that you regret it but HOW did you do that in the first place?

    If by "HOW" you mean how did I get in the mental state to be able do something so senseless and mean?. I don't know, I was young, immature, stupid, and I guess a little cruel.

    Give us a break and some clarification.

    Are you claiming the ones shot for sport
    are not eaten by Humans
    or
    is this just another of your empty, inflammatory statements?

    ~~~~~
    Anyone heard a criminal trial's penalty phase in R/L?
    He means that, even though people usually eat them, that's not the main reason they kill them. Most people hunt for sport, even if they do eat the deer.
    Butcher shops/ meat processors are all
    less than 100% effecient regardless of the meat's source.
    What's the difference in consuming meat
    that was shot for 'sport'
    or raised for slaughter?
    WTF does hunting/ being a 'meateater'
    have to do w/two po'd kids needlessly shooting a cat?
    They didn't do it for sport - they did it out of anger.
    Regardless I've yet to see the answer
    to my question way back in Post #9
    "
    Why even mention it,
    much less make a thread of this much less than Intelligent stunt?"
    Seems as though several of yall have been listening to too much Howard Stern/ have adopted him as a role model...
    What is worse? Killing numerous deer for sport and not seeing anything wrong with it? Or killing one cat and feeling extreme regret for having done so? The difference is that I do feel sorry for murdering that poor cat, but hunters don't see anything wrong with shooting dozens of deer for the sheer sport of it. I think this world is fucked up when people think that way.
    Ok still no answer to post #9
    and enough spinnin to make One ill.
    Knock yourselves out.
    ~~~~~
    I'll leave some additional spin material:

    When did the two of yall become US hunting experts?
    Have first hand knowledge/ research in the field?

    Curious...

    It's true. We were just doing it for kicks, which is the same reason most hunters kill deer. All of the hunters I know carry their rifles in their car and when they see a deer on the side of the road, they kill it and leave it. Just shooting them for bragging rights, basically. They also don't bring the deer back when they kill them on regular hunting trips. They sit in the deer satnd for hours until the can kill a deer and then end up leaving it right where they kill it. Sometimes they might rip the antlers off so they can prove how big the deer was.

    You want an answer for this?

    Why make any of these threads in True Confessions? I felt like posting it, so I did. Nuff said.

    Why do you make any of the posts you make? Because you feel like it, right? What the fuck do you expect me to say? This is the True Confessions forum. Is this not a true confession? You seem to be even more ignorant than I was when I killed that cat. No offense, but shit!!!

    I wont say what I feel about comparing what was confessed on here to that of the average hunter killing a wild animal but will say the following:

    The thread was started for whatever reason, the act was said to be done for whatever reason, it was stated it was done in the past another time another space. People change, all of us have likely done something that we wished we had not. Im sure there is a possibility of alot of different things but if its the past, its the past. If your gonna desire to judge a person then base it on thier current life not thier past. A rose is nothing more than a thorny bush but when it matures it produces a beautiful flower that is so loved by so many. (damn I sound like a chinese old man)

    Its done, its his past, he felt the need to get it off his shoulders he did, some let him know they did not like the idea and some brow beat him.

    I dont like the idea of what was done but its his past, I have had some great posts with this guy and my thoughts are of those not some act of his past.

    Take care....

    did you keep a piece of it as a keepsake...

    Someone killed this dog that we took care when it would run away from home(which was all the time) some kids shot it cause they thought it was funny...it devasted me..

    But I agree with yank'n burn..

    I've known people to do worse and they weren't young... someone I use to know put their gerbil in their microwave just because it bit someone..

    Shooting deer from a car isn't hunting, that's qualifies as a sniper, reminiscent of shooting buffalo from a train. Shooting from a vehicle is illegal. IMO a hunter abides by the laws governing hunting.

    This is why i dont like the fact that in places it appears to be acceptable to just have guns in the house where kids are. The fact that you had access to a gun was crazy.
    It was a long time ago, and im glad you now see how vile and wrong it was. But i dont understand how you didnt realise at the time. From as long as i can remember i was told i should respect animals and shown their magic and beauty. I suppose were all raised differently.

    Good on you for saying you regret it and wouldnt take a life like that again

    Xx

    That probably had a lot to do with why we did it. I used to do bad stuff because I knew I wasn't supposed to. I still like to do stuff that society doesn't approve of, but not at the expense of animals or people. But yeah, I do enjoy breaking the law, just for the hell of it.
