    Try the albums Desire, Street Legal, Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde, Blood on The Tracks, haha..basically any Bob Dylan album, theyre great!

    Not sure if you'd like Gram Parsons, but you could give it a go.
    GP/Grievous Angel is a good cd. ;]

    Muddy Waters- good album to get would be The Complete Plantation Recordings, has some really good stuff on it.

    if you like the beatles, you should check out george harrison's solo stuff. in my opinion, the best solo work put out by any former beatle. (though early on after the beatles paul mccartney did some good work. dont much care for john lennon though)
