Great advice, everyone. I can always seem to find people who understand me here. Obama won the election which to me, is a small step in the right direction.

IMO, Obama, if anything, will make this country worse. If there wasn't already enough racism in this country, there now will be more, and now half the black community already thinks they are better than me. Atleast where I'm at, thats true, I've heard alot of reports of this happening to other people around the country, that is black people looking down on other people.

    lol. thats right,
whitie is to report to the cottonfields at 8:00 am sharp. :hat:

don't blame racism on Obama blame it on ignorance and stupidity. Its not a bad thing that we have one of the most liberal presidents in the white house and the nation turning the power from the hands of uber conservatives. we might actually have a shot at weed getting decriminalized.

Since I consider myself to be near the center of the bell curve (except for looks where I excel) I assume that about half the population is mo'’ bettah than me ….. regardless of race.

I feel sorry for you MrDot …. very sorry. You have my honest pity.

What makes you think that everyone is equal? Can you play basketball as well as Kobe Bryant? Are you as funny as Woody Allen? Are you as popular as Oprah Winfrey?

BTW, I'm not playing the race card and implying that you're a racist. I just think that you would benefit from taking a different perspective.

I believe we were all created equally, but some people accel with different things becuase thats where they went. They started from scratch, as we all do, and with what they wanted and got BETTER. I don't believe a black dude is better than a white dude at basketball simply because of his skin color and statistics, maybe the white dude doesn't like basketball. Lol, it sounds racist saying black dude/white dude, bleh. Yes, I can take things from a different perspective, everyone can/should, but there are so many angles to look at it.

True Dat!! I worked on a Festie here not to long ago. I worked on it for two yrs day and night. All the big promises by the Big Bands of the 60s/70s were hype. It's all about chasing the $$ around.

I come from a revolutionary time. A time when we took it to the streets. A time when we gathered in every park and concert hall across our nation. We came in colors, with flowers in our hair and hearts. But it ain't like that no more. Ppl just don't want to be involved in anything that may take time and energy doing.

We have become fat and lazy in our hipness, we talk about change but when it comes to making any changes in ourselves, it's just not happening.
We have become a society of wimps, afraid to speak up, to stand up.

There is no unity anymore. You may be able to get a few folks to show up, but to make a statement you need thousands to make enough noise to shake a few windows and rattle some walls..

It's been 45 yrs. since the revolution began. We Originals started it out with great inspiration that fill us with the collective energy or Will to make the changes we thought were necessary and vital enough to do something about it.

It seems like all that energy has faded away or perhaps more like put on a shelf and we just don't use it anymore. Maybe we used it all up spinnin' our wheels on hard drugs and ego trips.

I think it's the opposistion that keeps us down. That opposit is negitivity. All this Ganstra, violent music and hate that is piling up around and through us is ripping off our energy supply, is tapping our source and phyphening our free will along with it.

There are not but a few of us Originals left on this side of our experience. ( not that anyone LISTENS to us anyway) We are growing old and as we pass we take our knowledge with us. Some of us write about The Experience, talk about it and try to relate it to the youngers. But something seems to be lost in the translation.

We have become as outdated as the Phophacy we came to fulfill. We are kicked aside and shuffeled around and eyes roll when we speak.

In all of this we are steadfast in what we hold as truth and rightness. We are not lost wandering aimlessly without direction.

Tis a New Dawn and with it brings change. Change in perhaps the way we get things done. Maybe we are not suppose to revolt or take it to the streets, maybe we are suppose to make change within the system itself from the inside.

We need to restructure the system, upgrade it to benefit the eveolution of mankind. As we 'grow' as a ppl we outgrow the 'shoes' we wore last yr.(millinium) and need something that will fit us better in The Now.

This change is upon us. We are in a position to change the laws, to work For us and not Against us. It depends on how many are willing to speak up and let our new pres know what we want. If he wants to be re-elected he will deliver.

It's usless to try to overthrow the gov, they have too many WMD. Best thing is to work within the system and create a better one in co-operation instead of opposition.

Looking forward to a Brighter New Year
    sh

    T/Y OT.

We that came before, were to bring in the new millinium, to escort it in with Joy. We danced as the pied piper played his magic flute. Twaz' the music that captured us. The Vibration/frequency that Tuned us in, our connection to our purpose..

The bearers of this message were not even aware of it themselves. They were as compelled as we were. It was all consuming. The message was sent on a chord, like channeling it into a Universal sign, that tweaked our Being, reached our soul and opened up a source of communication on a vibrational level.

A veriation of different chords to create a distinct coded message, a frequency that turned on our receptors, is what we picked up on. It relayed our next advancement. It was of one mind bringing the body back in place, in harmony with itself.

Life was a party untill the party crasher showed up. The violent ones, the dark ones with their party favors of heroin, speed and other man made devises of evil. The stealers of souls.

The music of today does not bare the same vibration, it has been overthrown by negitivity and hate. This new message is pulling our numbers down as it sucks our lifeforce from us. Or from you bc we have become harded to it in our wisdom.

The ones that came before, we watch from the other side of the river bank encouraging you to cross. We have earned our safe passage and are waiting for you to pick up on the faint vibrations that are still trickling down from the Universe and join us.

I miss the festivals, corn roasts, field parties from back in the day. Man, it was a special time. People just don't seem to want to have fun anymore. Just drudge along in their boring life of responsibility.
    Revolution? Count me in!

Start a nudest revolution. It may not help but it will make some of us old guys happy.

Education is the key. School is good but you need to thoroughly examine what they try to shovel into you. Learn on your own as well but again question everything. Share what you learn. Be your own revolution. Look for small victories.

    start a group,
    some school activity!

when i was in high school, we had this newspaper... we wrote stuff, draw stuff.. didnt really change the world, but we felt better :)

or start a theatre group, photography contest - small things, wise thoughts said in a show, all that can change a little, someone's reaction to another human being..

you will engage into something meaningful and you will feel better, and then you will be able to do/change more stuff.

dont wait for others to start things... they never will... you try, small steps small steps...

    good luck
    and have fun:))
