dude, whatevs :/ I grew up on both of those shows. Thats good TV, plain and simple. How could you hate on Pa? My ex and I fought over music constantly. I couldn't be best friends or lovers with someone who didn't share my taste in music, simply because it makes road trips very unpleasant. However, I used to work with a girl that only listened to country. She was a pain in the ass when it came to the radio, but I had more in common with her, excluding music, than anyone else we worked with.
I judge people on their musical taste but it doesn't necessarily make me dislike them, after all I have the best musical taste so I'm only setting myself up for disappointment if I try to hold others to my standards. Another weird phenomena that sort of makes me judge in regards to music is like the collective reaction formation against bands like Coldplay for example, who get popular than all of a sudden it becomes uncool to like them. I'm not huge into them but I think they make pretty genuine music even to this day.
this episode is with Leslie Nielsen... Jonathan and Mark's latest assignment is to try and get cold hearted businessman R.R. Benson to change his ways. When subtlety fails, Jonathan decides to try the direct approach and tell Benson who he is and why he is here. When Benson refuses to change, Jonathan tells him to read the Bible. And it's during the night that a burglar breaks in and shoots Benson. Later Jonathan and Mark find Benson but he's now a spirit. That's when Jonathan takes him on a tour of his life and what he has done. Upon seeing that Jonathan tells him he's being given the opportunity to relive the last week of his life. And he tries to do the right thing this time.
I still have a fear of snakes in my toilet because of this one episode of Highway to Heaven where they were called to this lady's house to rescue a snake from her toilet. Thats actually the only episode I remember and it stayed with me.
I think this episode will be the only one Ill remember.. cause I dont remember any others, but its on my tv sometime in the background. Leslie Nielsen held my interest..
I can totally relate prissbaby... I am definitely a music snob. We seem to have the same taste in music though, so we would probably get along
I agree with PressedRat...except I had a Coldplay album that I quite loved "A Rush of Blood To The Head" and I like one or two U2 songs, but I generally don't like them as a band...anyway, there is so much good music out there the only thing that really bugs me is when people listen to music just because it is popular and makes no effort to find really good music to vibe with...it doesn't really matter what type of music a person listens to, but they have to have a real love of music to get high scores in my book, and someone who really loves music will find unique, pleasant music and not listen to music that exists for the sole purpose of commercial success.
 Now I know why you got so pissed at the OP http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=432203&f=21
I think thats an easy thing to do....rednecks listen to country....long hair hippie potheads listen to classic rock...angry teens listen to death metal....gangsters listen to rap.....funny how theres music now to fit all those stereotypes
Uhhhh... internet stalk much? That song's not my bag of beans I like dancey jam band stuff Save the slow stuff for the score to cheezy tv dramas
Since when was Coldplay ever cool? Coldplay should put samples of elevator doors opening in between tracks on each album for added realism I'd totaly judge anyone that claims Coldplay was ever cool
If I were forced to listen to music, I would say the most tolerable is country.. but I'm not from the south
