I can't believe you'd post shit about how you have guts to kill and prefer killing humans to animals in the hip forums. This place is anti war and anti killing. Maybe you should join the military. Peace. Bustramp
The military probably wouldn't take him. They'd figure he's probably just a section-8 waiting to happen :leaving: Hotwater
I see a lot of young folks here talking shit about how cool it would be to kill someone. Ignorance is bliss. Join the military and get a chance to kill people legally. Once you see the look on a persons face as life fades from them due to your actions you won't forget it, even 40 years later. Killing isn't the fun it's cracked up to be.
HAHA. Agreed, Mr. Casey. The ironic thing is when I had the knowledge and the means (training), I could not. Something fucked up.
I was shocked by the poll... 55 precent has the guts 2 kill someone.. thats like FUCKING sick ... I could never kill someone, its discusting... i couldnt even kill my enemy...
Eh, I spend my spare time planning on how I'd rob somewhere (whereever caught my attention, though often it's a building society/bank) or planning how I'd kill my friends. I'd never actually do it though, for one thing, they're my friends so I don't want them to die...for another...don't really see the point in killing people, they'll be dead soon enough anyway. Simpler to let things take care of themselves.
wow... if I had the guts id have done it already... I guess it just doesn't appeal to me to spend my life being ass raped by a 300-pound pedophile named bubba.
OMG i just cant belive im reading this from you guys..i would NEVER EVER hurt anyone and i have never even think about killing someone i cant belive what some of you wrote this is so sick i think you're absolutely on the wrong forums!
Ive tried killing someone in self defence , and under the right circumstances could kill someone dont dream about doing it or want to do it . Try to avoid situations where people might try to kill me or I might need to kill them The same would apply to torturing someone ,would do it if I thought there was a good enough reason like if that person knew where a atom bomb was planted and wouldnt tell me in time, but dont dream or want to do it . My dream is being a hermit or living somewhere really quiet and making stuff like rocking horses and doing some gardening, having a porch with a rocking chair and a horse or mule in a field that i could say hello to from my porch, generally somewhere I can be happy that Im away from war and violence and annoying people
I agree with you I could never kill anyone either. In regard to the posters who answered in the affimative...well someone has to graduate from the Police Academy :H Hotwater
why is it morally superior to not defend yourself or someone else when you are attacked , I tried the whole pacifist turn the other cheek thing as a kid and I came to the conclusion that the best way to respond to being attacked is cause pain to the person doing the attacking . because people are more likely to learn not to attack people if everytime they get lots of pain I think most people who say they would never hurt anyone are phoneys or daft and havent thought things through. Would you shoot a old person or a child or pregnant women ,I would if that old person or child pregnant women was machine gunning people because the action of shooting them would save life more people
I rather worry I might be a sociopath sometimes, yet it is really strange... I have "compassion", ie. I do things like sponsor a child in india, etc, because I think it's right... but it's more thought than emotion that makes it so. I would not have any problem with killing someone, also - and I know it is supposed to make me feel wrong to think so. Doesn't mean I go about and do it, I let thought lead my life, not random impulses. If I had any reason to I wouldn't have a problem with making a cold decision to murder a person. I wonder, if I actively think philosophically to the point where I've simply "decided" to follow a moral route, is that enough for me to be moral (with such sociopathic instincts, that "moral route" is just a thought out decision for me, nothing -really- moral)? What do you think?
Our lives are judged on what we do, not what we think. If you fight your inner demons, and chose what's right and moral, you will have suceeded in the eyes of your fellow humans. Hotwater
if you saw someone shooting lots of people with a heavy machine gun would you shoot them, what is the moral thing to do in that circumstance?
Technically that's a question for ethics, a debatable subject however you view it. It's the same type of question as this favourite of many professors: "A train's about to hit two people, if you can either let that happen or pull a lever to divert the train to another track with only one person on it to hit - which is the moral thing to do?" On one hand you might "save more lives than you'd forgo", on the other you're playing god - choosing who lives and who dies. A classic follow-up question for the one who decides to pull the lever is for example... "Would your decision change if the two people were old and the one was young? What if one of the two people was a serial rapist, and the sole person was someone who has devoted his life to charities?" It's all just a question of moral choices, there isn't really any correct answer. Personally though, in your example, I'd shoot him without hesitation. But that's just me.
^^to some people, morals don't matter. Right and wrong don't exist. I'm the type of person who if asked to choose to kill either one person or the other, would kill both of them, so I don't have to think about it. In the case of the train incident above, I see the question as "Which death scene would be more cool to watch?", and for me, that would be the two people.
