One way or another, the male body is pretty unpopular. If you're unfortunate enough to own one of them, better keep it covered up pal, nobody wants to see that.
Yes, and it was Cassandra66 who started this topic: 03-22-2014, 04:02 PM Today, 01:10 AM I suppose we're being asked to wear short shorts and shave our legs. I'm all for equality in leg exposure, but if there needs to be equality in leg hair, let the ladies be furry! If they don't like that in Alabama, that is just too bad.
Sorry, Asmodean, but you've lost my respect....I can't respect someone who upholds body shame...That's one of the problems with our society, and it's people like you that perpetuates it...~sighs~
Whatever..I was simply stating my opinion about body hair...I think it's gross but it doesn't mean someone should hide their body. And I don't care if a doesn't want to shave. Her choice.....That's all I'm saying about this. I'm not arguing about it.
Though men have the luxury of walking around topless when its hot, while likewise a women may be looked on strange for just wearing a bra, unless if she was near a beach. Mayb this may be specific to the UK.
Well, yes. But then, how often are men going to be topless, really? There are plenty of occasions when women will be perfectly respectable in light dresses and sandals, while men are expected to wear long pants and heavy shoes, maybe with a jacket and tie. Think of a wedding in summer--how will the women be dressed and how will the men be dressed? Even in a lot of offices, bare legs are acceptable for women. If you're a guy, forget that! OK, so among the hippies things are more equal. But as I said, out there in the straight world, the male body just isn't welcomed. It's actually very interesting to think about how much more clothing men are expected to wear versus women, but it's taken for granted and hardly ever talked about.
I wear shorts in the office whenever it's hot out and I'm in Boston, which has a conservative reputation. This was true in the last three places I worked, too. I've got great looking hairy legs.
Know I understand where your coming from. Ill never crumble at the fact that men can be topless in the hot summer. Or maybe I should try and go against the norm, and be topless with some sort of bra of some kind. Hmm wonder if id get arrested, maybe not. Or maybe it wouldn't be right to subject the public to my bod. Nway on a more important note; you've raised a valid point to me. In general I think men's fashion can me very limited.
The way I see it men barely have fashion. I think it's one of the reasons men aren't into shopping like women are, lol....Probably why there's more male crossdressers too. Can you blame them? I don't....actually, I like guys like that, as they're usually feminine too. I think it's time for this to change!
