In a sick parasitic way, the westboro baptist church is proud to openly denounce every part of the country that grants them the free speech to do so, and they enjoy the reactions they get for it. Only a country run by WEAK fags would protect them calling the country on being fags.

And really, I do think they have the right to be utter pieces of shit. Part of living in a free country is having that right. And the rest of us have the right to feel slightly sorry for them, while simultaneously loathing them.

I personally think they need some counter protesters hidden in the traffic driving by their protests.... with high pressure "super soaker" water guns full of urine

And a legit counter protest on the other side of the street might help. Exact ripoffs of their signs, only with things like "God made fags", etc.

I feel sorry that they're wasting valuable human lives for such petty hatred. They devote their whole life to sitting in their church and hating, and standing on street corners and hating.

There've been some reporters that talked to some of the pastors daughters... Like young girls, well under 18 I think... they openly admitted that it was fun to see the pain they where causing at military funerals. I quite agree that breeding hate machines is child abuse.

For all this hate, I do hate them, but also feel sorry. And I think you do too. I think that's what seperates us from them. They don't feel sorry. They say they want fags to repent, but they don't want it for the fags, but because they can hate more righteously when the fags, predictably, flip off the WBC and keep walking. They know only fear of their god and appeasing hatred of everything he hates. Which is bloody near everything that he made.

 

i hate what hating anything does to me, and thus feel strongly motivated to avoid doing so. i have to admit however to possessing a certain equally strong prejudice against bigotry in all its forms. certainly no less so when belief is claimed as an excuse for it.

 

As with all bigotry, it's just a form of insecurity, anyone who's confident and happy with themselves wouldn't care. They have holes in their own lives that they have to occupy by fighting some bullshit cause just so they can sleep at night, it's sad and pathetic.

 

I have talked to some homophobes and I asked why they are homophobic. They give this lecture and use a lot of flowery language, but in the end, they usually state they are homophobic simply because a religous book said so-and-so or a certain person said so-and-so. There's no individual view; they act as parrots for something else.

i say let gays be, if they want to marry someone they love and want to spend the rest of their lifes with, then there is nothing wrong with it. people who display their hate towards will be judged at the end of it all.
